This is a really good kit for anyone that's trying to ease into needlefelting. The needles are really good quality and don't break easily, but the foam block it came with was SUPER cheap and seemed just like any packaging foam. It wasn't dense and caved in on itself after use, which was pretty disappointing. Anyway, the needles are really nice!

I was so glad when I found these on here since getting needle felting supplies at the local craft stores are very hit and miss. I was SHOCKED at the bad reviews. These are my favorite needles to work with by far. The pad that it comes with is complete rubbish so don't buy this for that (it will flake into your object and it is very small). The needles however are very sharp and they felt great. I keep coming back to these even though I have a variety of needles. I will say that the wool roving by this same brand is terrible. If you are trying to use these needles with that roving then there is no surprise that you can't get it to felt. If you get good quality roving (clover brand at the minimum but aim for some good quality merino wool) then these will do what you want. If you are new to felting then realize that it is a tedious process and takes ALOT of time and some know how so watch some videos for tips.

I had purchased this small kit as I had been warned that felting needles break quickly, and was just beginning the felting craft. I have to say these needles are not nearly as fragile as others I have used since. I enjoy working with them and have returned to them as the other needles I've purchased since have been breaking quickly. The styrofoam pads are small and adequate for short-term use but I have noted that the flaking of the "foam" pad has worked its way into my wool sculptures. It is a great kit for the short haul, the needles are lasting forever, the felting cushion not so much, and be warned - felting appears to be very addicting due to its creative nature. If you plan to do some "heavy duty" felting buy an additional sponge or brush to felt on. This small kit is great for a quick weekend craft, and is priced accordingly. The seller was great as the kit shipped very quickly and arrived in great shape when received.

These felting needles are completely useless. The barbs are so tiny that they don't catch the wool, and even after several attempts and a LOT of repeated stabbing, I could not even get the roving wool to stick to itself or to another piece of felt. I was even using Feltworks brand roving wool. I tried small pieces, large pieces, and everything in between and nothing was happening. I followed every direction and even had a few other people try it, including a craft store owner who is an experienced felter. No one could get it to work. The store owner told me that you shouldn't even be able to run your fingers up and down a regular felting needle because the barbs should catch... these needles are almost entirely smooth. They were a waste of time and money and I don't recommend them to anyone.

This kit is amazing. It has everything you need to start needle felting-- well, besides the wool roving. I like the foam block and the needles feel good in your hands.
