Ok. I really liked the quality on this sun shade...the color is perfect for the application, and I was thoroughly impressed by the availability of the various sizes of sails this company offered. You will be happy with this brand. Great value...

Didn’t expect to be a woven plastic even though I knew it wasn’t waterproof.Seems to be working ok for my partial shade application. Not sure why they can’t be made to have straight sides.

8’ x 8’ should have been plenty for what I needed but even fully tight not a single side is close to 8’. Another downside is that it is not even close to a right angle as you can see in the photo. The gate and fence are at 90* , the sun shade is in the corner but the sides are about 18”-20” short. Even it pulled so tight it could pull a building down there is no way this shade is 8’ x 8’.

I have a covered patio with a southwestern exposure, and at certain times of year the afternoon sun bakes the patio making uncomfortable to sit outside even with a ceiling fan. I wanted some shade but didn't want to block airflow. I considered a outdoor blind, but they were harder to install and looked somewhat ugly at best. I saw a shade sail at Costco, but it was too big for the what I needed so off to Amazon for more options. This size (8' triangle) fit my needs perfectly, the triangular shape blocks the sun at the time of day when it heats up the patio, but doesn't block the breeze. My plants get enough light and I don't need to worry about a rolled up blind getting mold/mildew.The recommended hardware kit had everything I needed to mount the sail. I like the turnbuckle approach vs ropes, as taking it down just requires a step ladder and unhooking 3 points. I could see leaving this up all year long. There were a lot of color options and sizes/shapes to choose from.Post installation my patio felt much more comfortable in the afternoon. I'll have to see how it performs in the next rain storm to head our way and/or on windy days.Cons: Installation instructions are oversimplified. I did some research and a bit of math to ensure I was placing the hardware in the right location to tension the sail, including allowing for the length of the mounting hardware in my calculations.
