This vest is really warm! I dont like wearing coats. I go through the whole winter wearing a hoodie with a vest thrown over. The vest is thick and covers you whole upper body all the way down over your butt. The collar zips up to fully cover your neck which comes in handy on cold windy days. Good quality vest..

Very nice vest, worth every penny in my opinion. I normally wear XL shirts, this fits me perfect, and it's long which is a bonus. It is thick and has the silver omniheat lining, it's nice and warm. Pockets are nice and deep and yes, it does not have an inside pocket but I don't care because the Columbia quality is more important. Would recommend this vest to anyone looking for a nice quality winter vest.

I really like it. Fit seems to run a little large, but better than going the other way. Has a nice cinch at the bottom to really tighten up if you need to, but I haven't used that feature. Good to know it's there. Was a little surprised at the reflective liner, but it helps by working on the same principle as an emergency blanket made of tin foil. Noticed a terrifically different price on different colors,so watch for that. Supply and demand,I guess because all features were the same except color and the price. Being of that age, the Made in Viet Nam bothers me a bit, but guess it shouldn't.

I had trouble deciding which of a multitude of brands' vests to buy when I remember my extensive search for a warm arctic temperature parka to go halfway from the Canadian/US border to Hudson's Bay. I settled on the parka from Columbia and was overjoyed once I used it. After growing up in Canada I certainly am a stickler for every part of the body that needs warmth that a parka can cover, delivering. And the Columbia was the only one I've ever found that does that. So I picked this vest. When it came i saw it has the exact same "thermal-reflective lining" as the parka I liked. It's not quite as stylish as some other brands on the outside but, and this is hard to explain, it's high practicality and understated styling makes it a cool choice to me. So it's really toasty but doesn't feel too heavy or bulky.

First, I'm giving this vest 3 stars due to the quality. It is very well made from good materials and has a nice fill level. I could see this vest being a go to, if the sizing were right.That said.......the sizing is horrible. I'm not even sure how something can be so off on sizing. I own many Columbia products, they are my favorite, and wear the same size in each of their products. I know their fit and my sizing well. When I ordered this vest I went with my normal size.When the vest came in and I took it out of the package I was immediately thinking "this thing looks huge." That thought was confirmed when I put on the vest. I'm just a bit over 6 feet tall and this vest falls well below my waist. My wife even made the comment that if I were wearing the vest I could go without pants and it would "cover up my butt and the fun parts." The length is not the only issue as the fit across the chest and torso is also way off. I'm not certain of the best way to quantify that fit, but I would say I could wear somewhere around 6 heavy sweatshirts under this vest before it even approached fitting correctly in the chest and torso. It is like wearing a tent. The arm holes are comically large, I was able to fit my head through one with plenty of room to spare. My wife and I have honestly been laughing about the sizing of this vest.I'm going to return the vest and order one two sizes smaller. Hopefully it will fit correctly.I can't fathom how sizing can be so out of whack. I'm sorry Columbia, I love your stuff, but you really messed the sizing on this product up.
