Got this 24 pin to 6 pin cable adapter for my PSU to Dell motherboard. At first I was iffy wondering if it works since its taking all 24 pin (wires) and converting it to only 6 pins. Also I was unable to find this at my local Microcenter/Bestbuy or local IT stores. Gave it a try and worked instantly. Just connect the cables on both ends.

Powers my rehoused Optiplex 7060 MT motherboard with MSI PSU. Adequate build quality and functions as intended thus far. No concerns atm. Would buy again if need arose.

Used this in a Optiplex 3050 meant for continuous use. It's been about half a year so far and no issues. Would recommend.

My son Bought a gtx 4060 and a Corsair modular power supply to upgrade his Acer n50 I7 nitro desktop. Ran into a bit of a snag where there's only a 6 pin on the motherboard. I came across this adapter, installed it and worked flawlessly. Absolutely genius.

Still in operation after almost a year - got regular powersupply to power up my dell pc that used the dell powersupply . I was afraid i might ruin my motherboard or it might not work. But was surprised it just worked. So read carefully which models this adapter supports. Worth the investment if going to keep your pc running for years and use better normal powersupply.NOTE: PSU stays on always even after shutdown, so if you want to power down it fully you have to unplug the power cable. I use a smart wifi switch to power it down fully when needed.

Not a whole lot to say other than this adapter does its job. It's a 24 pin to 6 pin adapter which allows standard power supply units to power up some Dell prebuilt PCs. In my case, I used it to hook up a Thermaltake Smart BM2 550W PSU to my 2021 Dell Inspiron 3880. This 6 pin connector powers the motherboard; the PSU's standard 4+4 pin connector powers the CPU. If you need help understanding how to use this adapter, watch "Dell 3880 Power Supply Upgrade (3 Different Ways!)" by The Broken Life on YouTube. Make sure your Dell motherboard has a 6 pin port before you get this, as I've heard newer ones come with 8 pin ports.

The adapter works for Dell Optiplex 7050 running standard ATX power supply. One caveat, the power supply is constantly on even if the PC is shutdown. It's a minor. Since my power supply has its own power switch on the back, I just have to remember to flip the switch once power down the desktop. This allows me to use standard ATX power supply to power a discrete graphic card.
