These work really well in dorm rooms and classroom. They hold up on the cinder block walls which is amazing, not much holds on those walls. They are strong and their ability to be reused with another backing saves me money and time.

I've been unable to find anything to hold my shower rod in place on my smooth tile wall. Nothing has worked. I tried the clear adhesive product you see in the photo (which has worked the best so far) but as you can see it has somehow twisted and will no doubt fail at some point. I'm concerned that my tile will be damaged when the rod crashes down (again), so I came up with this rig. It's unsightly, but I think it'll serve my purpose. I just want something that will break the fall, or hopefully keep it from falling to the floor. The strips have been stuck on the tile for 2 weeks, and when I tug firmly downward on the string they don't budge. If they stay on the tile, I know they'll support the rod if it falls. The two strips actually "lock" together, better than velcro. They kind of snap together. As long as they adhere to your surface, they'll definitely stick to each other. Time will tell on this project, to see if the strips continue to stick to the tile.

Was not Command brand. It only lasted 3 months before the picture fell off because the adhesive stopped sticking to the frame of the picture.

This thing does it job!! I bought a cork board from target to put my pins on. My cork board is not coming off no matter how much I pull since I placed the strips wrong (Shows how strong the command strip are). Why I didn’t follow the instructions I have no clue. It’s been 8 months and it’s still hanging.

I needed to hang a large 4'x2' heavy-material poster on a plaster wall that's not suited for screws or nails or even tacks. This is a very effective and convenient answer to this problem. And I can remove the poster without damaging a thing. Great stuff

Very good product. Bit expensive but works. No damage on the wall and the adhesion is really good.

I bought these as I wanted to hang a large A1 poster on my wall, which was framed. The strips state that there is a max weight for these of around 7kg and a max size which was a lot smaller than my A1 frame so I was a bit worried it might fall off the wall. The frame is lightweight at around 2kg so perhaps this helped somewhat. You do need to make sure you read the instructions, but it’s so simple. You get 8 in each pack, making 4 pairs. You attach the strips together Velcro to Velcro and then place them on your frame. You’re advised to place two at the top and then the other two 2/3 of the way down. I didn’t do this as my picture was horizontal, so I placed my strips 2 on the top, 2 on the bottom. You peel off the backing strips and stick these to the back of the frame. The instructions don’t mention how tricky it is to make sure that your picture is aligned properly on the wall, especially when you have a large, heavy, cumbersome frame. Once you peel the backing off the strips, that’s it, they will attach to the wall, so I reckon it’s a two person job, one to check it’s level and one to place the picture on the wall. You also need to make sure that the wall is clean and level. Three of my strips attached to the wall perfectly, but the fourth came right off because the plaster on that bit was a bit bumpy, which is annoying. But I think it’s a testament to the strips strength that my picture is hanging perfectly with only three strips!Once the picture is in place on the wall, you hold it in place for a minute. Then you peel the picture off and leave it for an hour to set. As I placed my strips on horizontally, I had to pull the picture from left to right as opposed to up to detach it, and boy is it on good and tight. I’m so impressed, but even more impressed with myself that I managed to stick an awkward A1 frame to the wall on my own, and I managed to get it level! These are supposed to come off clean, I’ve not tried yet. But part of me thought these were reusable which I don’t think they are. Overall I’m so happy and can’t wait to get other products like the hooks and smaller picture strips which will probably be a lot easier to hang.

Update: Feb 2018. It has been a little over a year. Just last week, one (top left) of the eight sticky hanging strips stuck to THE DOOR fell off, and the weight of the mirror brought the entire mirror down. It had lost it's stickiness. The velcro parts of the strips are still going strong. I just stuck the strip back on the door until I can get more command strips. I believe the strip wouldn't have fallen off if I just left left the mirror on the door for the whole year. However, I occasionally needed to move the mirror out, pulling the velcro. I believe this is an excellent purchase based on the duration I can use these strips (the rest of the strips are still sticky).Used to attach a full length mirror (7 pounds) from Target to the back of my door. See pictures for results. The strips were a bit too long for the surface I used them on, so I cut each strip in half WIDTH WISE, giving me 8 pieces to use. This was not the best technique (should have done length wise, as it left me with only one side containing the pull tab that is used to later remove the strip. (Solved the problem by making sure that each strip had at least one pull tab & then adhered that side to the surface of the DOOR.) I didn't really care that the back of my cheap mirror might get damaged, should I decide to remove the strips from there.Moving on, the set-up was easy and took about 15 minutes for me. As per the instructions, I let the strips rest for a few hours before attaching the mirror to the door. The mirror is stuck on well. I swung the door open & closed with much force a few times to test it, and nothing shakes or even wobbles.I can easily pull the mirror from the door and set it elsewhere to use. Reattachment is simple. It has been 1 month and the mirror hasn't fallen once.Based on the many horror stories from other reviews, I am a bit worried about the strips potentially damaging the surface of the door upon removal. Will update on that issue when I remove the strips.Overall a good purchase for what I needed it for.
