I like the fact that you have the option between batteries and a power cord and the fact that the batteries aren't expensive watch batteries like my last scale. The 44-pound limit is very nice to have. It works well but is a bit inaccurate with small amounts. I just picked up a 150-gram scale for when I am mixing up cures for meat when I have to be precise.

I have used this scale for weighing out jerky meat for mixing seasonings in properly. It seems to be pretty accurate. The functionality of the scale is nice. The lit up digital screen is very readable. I know nothing of the battery life because I thought this scale was only power cord able.
