If you are cutting note book paper it work fine anything thicker it useless

I've tested only paper cutting so far, but the results actually might be better on a thicker medium as the paper can tear a bit if you aren't careful! The size adjustment process is easy (just don't unscrew it totally as I did, it is fiddly to get back on!), and it cuts smoothly once you get the hang of rotating the correct direction.One thing which it could really use is some sort of cap/cover for the blade; I'll be keeping it in the packaging for now to avoid it being a hazard. The cover for the compartment storing spares also pops open a little too easily for my liking. Overall; good value for the price, does what it says on the tin, will continue using!

The blade is not sharp enough to cut melted butter. I tried with vinyl plastic, paper, and cardboard. Failure on on three materials. It just tears and skips along the surface but does not actually cut a round hole as you would expect.You "might" be able to score a circle so you can use another cutting instrument to actually cut the hole.After trying this out and discovering what I piece of junk I had purchased, I ordered a stencil that allows me to draw perfect round circles of various sizes. Then I can use a blade or scissors to cut out the circle. The stencil was also 1/2 the price of this junk tool.

It works well. I bought it for my husband to make decals for 1/72 models so he needs small circles with clean cut edges and it does the job.
