I didn’t know if it was the battery or the charger that had quit working but it was the charger and the problem was fixed.

We bought this to replace one we already had - we thought it was the battery that was bad- turns out it was the charger - it works great and so much cheaper than purchasing a new battery!

This charger is smaller than the traditional chargers for Black and Decker batteries. It does the job. However, this size comes at a cost. It's charge rate is much smaller, on average it charges at max rate of approx 15W (and that includes losses in it's AC to DC circuitry) and therefore it's charge times are much longer... so you wont really be able to use this on a job site or anything where time is critical. To the manufacturer's credit, they do state their charge times in their Ad.It's AC supply is your typical (lightweight/inexpensive) wall wart with a plug. A missed opportunity, to at least make this charger accept a USB-C input so that way you can avoid using it's adapter in favor of much more standardized power solutions. It will ultimately become e-waste.I consider this an reasonable / good-enough backup / secondary charger.. but if you run out of power during a (major) job, this charger wont be the thing that gets you back up and running.
