Don’t buy, it shows and states you get the mounting screws, got the first and replacement but both times screws weren’t included. Look for different product.

It holds the back door of my commercial building tightly closed without any noticeable extra effort to open it. Winters are cold here at 7,000 feet in the Rocky Mountains and the doors need to be shut tight to conserve heat. The lock has to have some slack in it, and the door seal cannot interfere with full door closure to give 100% assurance of re-locking after passing through it, which was causing some air leakage past the door seal. The door also need a strong closer due to wind problems, which stresses the electronic dor lock latch. This device seems to reduces the recoil stress on the electronic locking mechanism.
