I was looking for a small, high-performance xlr mic for podcasting, and TAC-300 got my attention by the way it looked in the pictures, and the acoustic capabilities. I don't usually write reviews, but this mic is excellent. It has a lower self-noise than NT-1 (in part, due to a smaller capsule), and a warm, natural sound. TAC-300 is very stylish with a feel and sound that goes head-to-head with Audio-Technica 2035.I will buy a second one, TAC-700, to have the omini-directional option for interviewing podcasting guests!
