Got this to add to my array of less than authentic DeWalt tools. It, with the mediocre blades that are included, had no problem cutting through some 1" branches on a native bush I have in my yard. It is lightweight, easy to handle, and easy to operate one handed (for better or worse). The stroke depth is nothing to write home about, the power is adequate for smaller jobs but wouldn't expect it to do any serious cutting. Not sure if that is this tool in particular or cordless reciprocating saws in general as the others I have had and do have are corded. For the price (40) and the specs (a brushed motor), it is about what you would expect.

Works better then I thought it would, it fits and works with my factory dewalt batteries as well as my aftermarket batteries, it cuts nice and straight, and with nice sharp blades it has no problem cutting through 3” thick wood, so far I am really happy with this saw, and I am positive that it’ll last and work a good long time, if you use dewalt products and 20v batteries then this’ll work great for you, but it is a lighter tool and it’s not meant for heavy duty work but it’ll work great for medium to lighter jobs

It's a pretty much a run-of-the-mill cordless sawzall, no real standout features. No battery, not a brushless motor, and while it includes blades, they aren't very good imo. You will definitely want to use some better blades, but it uses standard sawzall blades, and I do like the twist-lock it has for the blades. Not a bad saw, but plenty of room for improvements.

Simple to load the blades, just twist the inside mechanism and it holds firmly. A safe way to trim brush and unwanted shrubs and limbs. They send several blades to get you started. Good control. Did not come with a battery. Solid construction but not too heavy. Easy to handle and functions as advertised. Great quality. Comfortable to grip and can be safely manuevered into tighter spots.

Great powerful sheetrock cutter. I do think it's brushed motor not a brushless motor. But, it's good overall.

Outer plastic is a bit cheap feeling, like there is no glass fiber enforcement. However the tool it self does work and has no issues. It does come with some cheap blades which do not cut great but overall it is a decent small tool

Note that there is no battery included, nor a charger. This is the body only plus four blades. But both DeWalt and compatible knockoff batteries work perfectly. Now with that out of the way, it's a very good saw so far. Good power, more than I expected for a battery-powered recip saw. Both a 4amp and 6amp battery balances well with it. For those places where a power cord or source is an issue, this is a very acceptable tool, fit for purpose. It has a place in the truck toolbox for on-site projects, and in fact has already been useful for cutting off two wall bolts during an installation.A battery and charger would make this an easy five star tool.

50/50 on whether this is better / faster than hand saws for branches and wood, even metal. It's not a name brand, so it's reliability and performance isn't going to be that of something for heavy duty / professional use.I had some trouble cutting a simple damp twig sized branch using the wood blades. It will save you the physical labor though, if that's an issue for you. It's nice to have for around the house projects.I think the biggest issue I have with this are that the blades are quite short. It's hard to find the perfect sweet spot where the resonant frequency will allow you to cut through something smoothly. It also uses a brushed motor, which will eventually burn out.
