I really like the idea that I can use the solider without plugging into the wall. the freedom of the cordless solider is really convenient in my opinion. especially I don't have a dedicated workbench for this. The portability is awesome. I bring it wherever I want. Best thing is I can use my existing makita battery. I don't have to buy the dedicated battery just for this. Overall, I really like it. It handle most of my small soldiering work that I throw at it. I was able to solider a 8awg wire to the XT90 without any issue.

Super easy to move around and portable. It gets very hot which I was surprised at. Easy to use and functions are great. Definitely a good tool for the price

This soldering iron is a fantastic addition to my toolkit. It heats up quickly, reaching 350°C in just 15 seconds, which is great for fast work. The ability to use my Makita 18V batteries is a huge plus. It also has convenient USB and Type-C ports for charging other devices. The adjustable temperature is useful for different projects, and the automatic shutoff is a nice safety feature. It’s perfect for various soldering tasks and is very portable.

This has become one of my favorite portable soldering irons. The base is constructed well, and the material feels durable. The controls are simple to use and adjust, and the display looks nice. The temperature control seems to work well, as it seems to perform similarly to some of my other units. Overall a good value!

Pretty cool what this can do off a battery. Everything seems to work as advertised.

This cordless soldering iron for Makita batteries works great. I used in on electronics and small gauge wire splices and it has plenty of heat for those applications.I use all non-OEM Makita batteries and they all work just fine in this unit. The only things I wish were different is the pencil iron holder is angled and I wish it were straight with the base, and I also wish they did not included USB battery ports as these will slowly drain the battery. I like to leave batteries in tools, and the inclusion of USB battery ports prevents that.

I own a number of Makita batteries, but the idea never occurred to me that I could power a soldering iron with one. I just assumed that it wouldn't stay hot enough, and that the battery wouldn't last long enough to do much soldering. Well, was I wrong. This little beauty does a fantastic job. A clever feature is that the unit. sits atop the battery pack, as it makes it super portable, and well weighted down. The iron holder slides into a slot on top of the unit, and works well. I'm impressed with how long the unit can run on a single charge, but if you had an extended job, you'd just pop in another pack while the first on recharges. For most jobs, you won't have to do that however. Overall, I'm really impressed with this little unit. It's so easy to deal with, I can see using it even when I have an outlet to plug in my other iron.

Very easy to use this iron, I get about a 20° swing in temp which is better than the average old style.Set this up and was soldering my XLR connectors in about 40 seconds. 4Ah battery lasted the entire job (248 connections) and still was up to temp when I shut it down. Switching C/F was easy. This is a super handy portable soldering iron.NOTE: I had to reach out to seller with an issue, KUDOS to the seller who was quick to respond and immediately remedied the issue. In my book a seller that stands behind their product deserves a sixth star.I would highly recommend this product and seller.
