Works the best as a corn stripper. I have purchased others and they don't work as good as this one. Recommend for those who have to cut the kernels off before eating or prior to freezing.

This priduct does the job, but honestly, I find a sharp chef knife works better. Unless you really get this device positioned correctly, you’ll only get about half of the kernel stripped off the cob. If you press too hard, the cob will move. I find it a little frustrating to use.

I do a fair amount of fresh corn trimming during the season, but have always used a knife. I was given various gadgets which did not work well for this purpose - but this one actually works, and is easy to clean. As a result, I am now using this instead of a chef's knife. The rounded cutting edge is the advantage over the knife. So while I am not a fan of kitchen gadgets, I did buy and keep this one. I would recommend if you trim fresh corn regularly. (Try sautéing with some chopped cooked chilis and some butter or creme fraiche)

I just put up 210 quarts of sweet corn this weekend with just 2 of these corn cutters!! Absolutely amazing!! Safe for my children to use . Very fast and effective!! Never for dual the while we were using them and cleaned up very easily! I couldn’t have done it without these . BUY THEM!!

I quickly processed 3 dozen ears of corn with this. The serrations in the blade also caught the silk strands that were between the kernels so they did not go in with the kernels. The handle is very nice and prevented the pain I would have normally had in my arthritic hands after doing 36 ears of corn (rheumatoid & osteoarthritis). As my 2 young grandsons are always getting into the drawers, I am very happy with the blade cover - it stays on well in the drawer but is easy to remove.
