It is designed to clean around a wheel stud, the hub, brake drum and wheel mating faces. This tool utilizes a 1/2" drive and is impact gun compliant. This tool is not designed to clean the threads of the wheel stud itself, but everything else around it. To ensure the proper torque is achieved, it is necessary to clean all threaded and mating surfaces of a wheel-end thoroughly to ensure proper clamping force is achieved, in-turn providing the proper torque. For use with Commercial vehicles, Truck, Trailer, Bus, RV and any vehicle utilizing a 22mm stud.

The aluminum takes a beating on the impact. The 1/2 inch square drive gets stuck on The impact anvil because it’s aluminum and deforms easily. It cleans the drum and the studs great but i imagine eventually I’ll have to get another driver.

I love the idea and two of the 5 grinding discs worked great, but two of them came right apart when I started to clean the hub!, These are way too expensive for 50% of them to fall apart in the first seconds of use. It's a shame because when it works I really like it, seems like they need to find a better way to adhere the discs to the plastic.

Cleans hub face well, could use wire brush style in centre to clean threads better.No great means of removing tool at bottom because abrasive pad removes when switched to reverse.

Cleans the hubs very well. Thick pads. Enough for a couple of rotor changes.
