Unsure if I received a defective unit or if this is the expected quality, but the adapter broke within the first hour of usage — probably less than a dozen holes were drilled successfully before it fell apart.

Adapted an SDS Max to SDS plus drill bits. Used less then 2 dozen times but sure beats the price of a second drill. No problems with fitting the drill or the SDS plus bits bought for my project. No discernable wear so good for the next project.
