My husband always needed one of these. The flashlight lets you see what you have dropped and then you can reach into tight spots to get screws and bolts you have dropped.

Hard to put a star rating on this one. I bought one for my husband and both of our sons to put in their Christmas stockings, and they were all thrilled. Initially they were pleased but a little confused, as they already own magnetic pickup tools, but then they started exploring the features. One discovered that it is bendable and got all excited, then another discovered the light, and the excitement ramped up. Then they discovered that the flashlight is actually removable from the bendy part, and more excitement ensued. They came back down again, though, when my youngest son started going around trying to pick things up with the magnet. He had no luck, but we all agreed that it was simply the items he was trying - either they were metal that won't magnetize or they were simply too heavy. In the end, we agreed that this will be handy for them to pick up screws and nails and fish-hooks and other small metal pieces, and it will be really nice to have the flashlight (which is much brighter than we expected) to get into tight places. But it won't pick up larger metal objects that also get dropped in awkward places. Because the magnet isn't as strong as I had hoped, I have to drop a star from the rating. I would really give this a 4.5 star if possible, because it is a good product, just not quite perfect, but since that isn't an option, I had to go to 4 stars.
