The touch lighting dimmer module provides three intensity settings once integrated into an existing lighting system. If properly installed, the dimmer module can be switched and dimmed by touching metal base of lamp. Dimmer switch includes installation instruction with wiring diagram. Schematic also stamped on dimmer case for reference. Please be careful and make sure you turn off lamp or circuit breaker before installing unit!! This touch dimmer is UL approved and safe to use in household application within the US. Touch dimmers without certification can cause electric shock or be a fire hazard within the home. The unit has a small aluminum heat sink on the TRIAC to eliminate the risk of fire. This unit has been confirmed to work with LED lights. The specifications must indicate the LED lights are dimmable.

This one worked for me! Bought a different one off of Amazon the other day, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QF1B9GR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title, and the box popped as soon as I touched it and you could smell that something fried in it.Then I bought this one and it looked like the original touch lamp circuit box and I hooked it up and it worked! Thank you! Hope this helps others get the right one.

Works very well. as someone noted, you really need to follow the wiring diagram provided because wire colours could be misleading (they differ from brand to brand). It took me about 30 min to fit the new switch in my lamp. Overall, I am happy and my lamp is working back very well!

Item did not work. I repair lamps. For this I needed to replace for a touch lamp. It did absolutely nothing and when I opened the black box it appeared to be missing parts. Notice the left one from 1998 and the right one from here that has printings where there should be parts but there are no parts. What a scam. The old one still at least was able to shock me. This one didn’t even draw power to do anything.

I made the same mistake some other people made (assuming by the reviews). This sensor looked exactly like the one in my lamps, with the same number and coloured wires. I connected it exactly like the old one and when I plugged it in and touched it ....puff... and it blew the sensor. When I actually looked at the wiring diagram in the box, they actually mention to not necessarily go by the colours but by the included diagram. I purchased another unit (same brand as before) and wired it according to the diagram and it works with no issues.
