Installed on a 2003 Napoleon EPA1100. Our unit DID NOT have a fan box kit installed. I knew this before purchasing. BUT, it fit the bill. Before I could install this unit, I had to purchase a 6"x18"x16 Gauge piece of steel sheet metal (Home Depot SKU # 475130, Internet # 204225705) for $11.47. Upon arrival, I had to make (2) 2.5" cuts and bend the two ends around (3.25"). If you need to see what one looks like, just look up the Napoleon Parts breakdown for this model. Very simple if you have any mechanical skills (and tools) at all. After drilling out the back-plate pop-rivets of the new unit from Amazon, I installed the blower on the new back-plate I made. Then used 4 self-tapping screws to mount to the back of the wood stove. Total installation time: About 1 hour. IF YOU HAVE TO BUY A COMPLETE UNIT FROM NAPOLEON, YOU WILL SPEND OVER $400. Most Stove Companies are charging well over $200-250. This entire project cost $62 and an hours labor. (I'm worth $338 an hour. I'm sure you are too). The fan puts out the air. When holding up a match to the front, it was blown out instantly. We can stand back 6' and still feel the wind blowing. Not excessively hard but you WILL notice it. The noise is less than half a hair dryer. More like a box fan on low. That's while on the high setting. We are running at 50% and can barely hear it. This beat my expectations for fan output and noise comfort. Our neighbor has a fan on their stove, its' twice or more as loud. If you DO NOT have a fan kit, the correct part number for the EPA1100 is EP62-1. If you DO have the fan kit, then you just need the motor which is part number GZ552. This WILL fit this model as a replacement unit and/or kit motor if you want to fab your own. Save yourself money. I recommend this fan.UPDATE 12/12/23:We're on our 2nd season with this particular blower. WHAT A DIFFERENCE it has made. Our wood stove has a secondary heat shield built into the top and sides. I definitely affects the overall performance of our stove. The first year, we relied on radiant heat from the unit. It was slow to heat the room or keep it at a constant room temperature. The 2nd year, we installed this fan. overall improvement of our stove was incredible. No stove should be without a fan that has our heat shield setup. As for THIS blower, it is quieter than most I've heard. It comes with a variable speed switch mounted on the unit. We took it off and moved it onto the wall for better access. Otherwise, you'll have to bend over and reach into the back of your stove to get to it for adjustments. The slowest speed, you'll barely heat it but there is not a lot of output. The middle speeds are a great balance between noise and performance. We use this setting most of the time as it keep the room pretty constant in temperature. The high speed is a bit noisy (but still less than other blowers). On our unit, it tends to vibrate the back metal wall panel. We use this on start up but after the box gets hot, we move it back to medium for the duration.OVERALL RATING: I would have to say that we are overall pleased and will buy this unit again in the future. We 'hear' that most fans last a year or two if they are constantly used. We'll see. This one is on its 2nd season. If it fails in the near term, we'll try to report that. Otherwise, this is a great replacement unit that is far less expensive than buying from a local dealer. A great value for the money.

Works well and is quiet but it was tough to work with. The beaker plate didn’t work and I had to use the original. Besides that and two hours later it works great and is quiet.

The first thing on the wiring instruction is a Red wire going to the blower motor..... there is no Red wire, it shows 2 wires coming from the plug, there are 3 WIRES COMING FROM THE PLUG
