My fireplace inserts (I have two; Heatilator model# ND3630I) were built in 2005 or thereabouts. Had companies come out and suggest that we needed to completely replace our entire inserts! Have you priced those? Comparable ones are $1200 each or more plus installation costs. Not paying for a new insert for a fireplace that we use intermittently for 2-3 months on the year. This new part looks different than the one that originally came with my unit, but probably for good reason (initial design was a bit chaotic and has a questionable design). Once I figured out how everything went together, it was a straightforward installation. Functions better than the original unit, built solidly, fits well, and was the best priced option out there.
