I have a F-Style, The Loar LM520 Mandolin and wanted a well-built case. The Cross Rock case has excellent reviews and seemed like a great case for the money. And it is. It is well built. It has great features. The only problem is that my mandolin doesn’t fit properly. The body fits, but the neck rest/storage compartment are too far forward for the headstock. My head and neck literally rest on the two bottom tuner screws! It should be resting on the neck. And it would if the storage compartment was moved downward an inch or more. May have to return it. Every time I pull it out, I have to re-tune those two strings.

Case seems to be well made, and protects my mandolin well. I took it on an airplane with no issues. Recommend if you’re looking for a decent case

This is a really attractive and sturdy mandolin case. I have put a nice F5 in it, an Eastman MD815V, and it fits perfectly. The nice plush interior adds to my confidence in its protectiveness. This case has style with a very nice looking lip around the lid. I wish it had a third latch which is my only critique. I will say the latches are large, sturdy and easy to open and close. This classy looking case adds to my mandolin and guitar lineup of cases!

The only thing it needs is another clasp. This version only has 2.

Only problem I have is the lock doesn't work.

I got the deluxe wood hard case for my girlfriend's f-body mandolin. The "leather look" finish is surprisingly attractive, and the hardware is beautiful. The interior is a very soothing shade of blue, and extremely soft. Her mandolin has a couple of stylized bits poking out of the opposite side of the "f" side, but it still fits into the case perfectly. The only weird part is that one of the latches has a cheap lock on it that could easily be picked with just about anything you could get your hands on, so I'm not sure why they bothered with that. It also has quite an odor, but I'm sure that'll fade with time.As far as the seller goes, they included the wrong packing slip. I got a packing slip for this case and a piano case going to Nevada. I did not order a piano case with this and I do not live in Nevada. Thankfully I don't have to return the case, but having the wrong packing slip would be a nightmare to deal with if I did.
