Bought a used Eastman MD-315 F-style mandolin and needed a little more protective case than a gigbag. Looked all over and finally found this "Glarry F-Style Microgroove Mandolin Hard shell Case" for $59. I'd like to know what similar cases costing well over $100 have that this one doesn't have, unless it's a custom fit, because this case is a great value. Very well padded, especially on the lid; very nice heavy-duty-feeling faux-leather (I assume) covering, very nice outside stitching and very VERY sturdy construction. I despise buying Chinese-made products (and I'm only assuming this was made in China, because it was so inexpensive), but nothing else came remotely close to this much product for this price, that I saw. It fits my Eastman very well, but not perfectly (but well enough). It has about 3/4" side-to-side play in the case, and about the same lengthwise, but these are easily fixed with a rolled-up cloth. This mando won't be going on any extensive or rough travels with me and I'm sure it will more than suffice for 98% of us. My only minor complaint was that I could not get tracking info from the seller -- just a range of 4-5 days when it might arrive via USPS. Then it arrived two days early! Oh well...

Although this case is very nice looking, its functional aspect is what stands out most. In my opinion, an instrument case 's main purpose is to protect the instrument,. This one does a super job.

Flimsy shipping container. case arrived damage in a flimsy bag the skin of the case and the bag it was shipped is was torn. Probably won’t return as damage is only esthetic. Fits my mandolin just fine

This is a nice sturdy little hardshell case at a great price. Is plushly padded and very protective it fits a standard sized Mandolin very nicely!

Not a lot to say about it other than it’s exactly what’s expected from a quality hard shell case! Fits my loar like a glove. It seems pretty sturdy. It’s hard to review brand new cases. The true test is in the years to come, but I’m quite sure this lil puppy can hang! Highly recommended!

It’s a good case, as far as protection goes. Be weary of it though, the compartment flap on the inside started to tear away from the case itself. With minimal use of the compartment and I wasn’t rough with it at all. Still an okay case.

What do expect for something that is half the price or less than everything else out there? Well if you get the Glarry case, you will be blown away. If all you need is a mandolin case - i mean you don't intend to try backing over it with an F250, you don't intend to carry a $15,000 dollar vintage Gibson through international customs......get this. Don't waste your money on $100 - $150 cases. This case closes and latches (no lock though). It contains what is inside in a snug (but not too tight) fashion. I have an LM -600 by the loar. Keeps it safe when not in use, and travels well in the back of the car to gigs. I got no problem with it.

This is a very nice case. Well made and looks good. Fits my Loar F type perfectly. The inside is nicely padded and contoured, and doesn’t smell bad.It feels sturdy and is covered with very nice leather looking vinyl. I’m totally pleased. If I had ANY criticism it is that it only has two clasps, both non locking. Plenty fine for toting around but maybe not so good for travel.But otherwise it’s quite nice and a looker. I was very pleasantly surprised.
