I have like 5-6 different options I tried for a Dodge Ram 1500 and none of my spark plug or regular sockets would fit in there tiny holes. This came up in a google search and so i tried it out--works perfectly, and the magnetic holder is supreme.

Works perfect on my 4.7 L how frustrating that you have to buy a specialty tool just to get plugs out of a car engine.

This spark plug tool worked perfectly to remove/install spark plugs in a Fiat/FCA 1.4L MultiAir engine, which requires a thin walled socket to fit properly. Magnetic spark plug holder has just the right amount of strength to hold the plug firmly, yet allow the socket to be removed without difficulty. Couldn't be happier with it, made the job super easy!

I didn't think much about it. I needed to replace the plugs in my 2008 Dodge. As a mechanic, I have changed countless plugs. I got to the top plugs and even my thinnest plug socket would not fit. I ordered this and was very impressed. First it fits perfect and has the long reach built in. Second you can't break it. There is no extra room in the shaft. Even though all of my plugs were easy to loosen, it's still and great design feature.It also is perfect for the lower plugs. While not specifically made for those it still gives that added length that really helps. Especially that back on behind the brake booster. absolutely the perfect length. Note: I found it easy to get to that one from under the truck rather than from the top.

Great for recessed plugs. Tool is good quality, magnet is strong enough to hold the plug, both during removal and installation. Glad I bought it.

Tried multiple thin wall plug sockets on my 2006 Dodge 4.7 L but none would fit in tight plug wells (especially the ones below the coil packs). This extended thin wall plug socket worked like a charm and made the top and side plug changes pretty easy. On the expensive side but worked well.

I love this, it is magnetic and keeps the spark plug engaged and there is no rubber that can get pulled out accidentally. This worked fantastic for my Ford Explorer, however, a 2011 Subaru WRX STI had a little bit of a problem because the engine is so tightly packed in the engine bay. For the Subaru, I ended up using the old rubber spark plug remover because I couldn't get this one in the hole. This is a very deep socket.Overall, this is a fantastic tool to have in your tool collection.

I like many struggled with other sockets to swap out the spark plugs in my 2009 Ram 1500 4.7L. This worked perfectly, the magnet held the spark plug very well with no mishaps. The thin wall worked as advertised, other thin walls were not quite skinny enough but I had no snagging issues with this. This is a 12 pt socket but don't let that deter you, I had a spark plug that was severely over torqued to the point of seizure. Just rock the spark plug back and forth until you get it loose. I was able to get it out without stripping the spark plug. Saved a ton of time and effort, price may be high but there's not much available out there. Good luck!
