Didn't have any issues with installing this hitch on a 2010 Mini Cooper. It was easy to install (less than 1 hour) but make sure you put the conical brass lock washers on properly to lock the bolts...

It performs as necessary. A neat feature is how the hitch is concealed when the ball mount is removed. It leaves no clue that there is a hitch behind the fender. Probably the most difficult part was adding the wiring kit. That took some time.CURT Taillight Converter #59236

Pas le bon modele. J ai bien recu le 11160 mais il est faite pour les mini cooper 2007 et plus.J en ai besoin. Donc pour le fitter en place j ai couper le bumper covert et le renfort.

Perfect fit on my 2009 Mini C.ooper base. Make sure you check the Curt website for the correct model for your Mini.

So far so good...Fits my 2007 Mini; I paid uhaul $85 for the installation, nice and simple. The guy was able to install without cutting or modifyin the bumper; but by doing so it does push down on the bumper by a hair, although not enough to notice without it having been pointed out by the uhaul guy. Now I'm trying to find a bike rack or platform with a 1 1/4 mount, most seem to be for a 2" receiving hitch...

Bought this for my 2011 Mini Cooper Base.Install time was roughly 3 hours in a friends auto shop. Special tools not required but definitely helps.The fit was a little off. The hitch sits about .5 inches to low behind the bumper where the light is removed.It also does not pop out like I have seen in some images and videos. Its shallow enough to not touch the bumper.So when something is mounted, the rack will pull down on the bumper a little.Pretty frustrating considering how close to perfect it is. Would've been 5 stars if the fit was better.Model was checked both with Amazon fit and Curt website.It doesn't look terrible. Overall disappointed but sticking with it as there are not many other options.

Excellent hitch and price. Took about 45 minutes to install on my 08 Justa MINI Cooper. Fits and works well. It came with the one side bent but I straightened that quickly in the vise. The UPS depot must have really thrown it.

I purchased this based on Amazon's DOES THIS FIT MY CAR. it said the 11160 hitch would fit my 2006 mini cooper. Unfortunately it did not fit properly. I would have had to cut a hole in the bumper to access the hitch. I noticed the inst were for a 2007 mini cooper. I called curt mfg. and they stated the 11126 has a shorter drop and will properly align with the opening on the 2006 mini cooper. I contacted amazon explained the situation they emailed a return shipping order/label and its on the way back. great customer service thats why the four stars. I have ordered the 11126 hitch that curt mfg. said will fit. Installation was relatively easy. I would recommend curt hitches for a DIY. Just be sure you verify fit.

I bought this for my 2011 Mini. Spent quite a bit of time installing it, only to find out that it doesn't work out with the bumper cover installed. The overall plan is pretty bad too. The hitch is planned to pop out right where the brake light is.
