A CURT trailer hitch is the key to pursuing your passions, whether you're taking the family boat out for an afternoon on the water or packing up the mountain bikes for a day on the trails. This CURT class 2 hitch is perfect for towing a small trailer, such as a boat trailer, lightweight camper or utility trailer. It can also be used to mount a hitch cargo carrier or bike rack (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 2 trailer hitch is made for a vehicle-specific fit. It is engineered to seamlessly integrate with select years of the Buick LaCrosse, Buick Regal, Cadillac CTS, Chevrolet Impala and Chevrolet Malibu (see application info to verify fitment). It is rated for 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. It is also equipped with 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" hitch receiver to accept the included ball mount. The ball mount that comes with this hitch kit has a 3/4" trailer ball hole and can be positioned in the drop or rise orientation for level towing with your specific trailer (trailer ball not included). Like all CURT custom receiver hitches, this class 2 hitch is designed, manufactured, finished and tested with the utmost care. It is engineered for a precise fit, easy installation, maximum towing strength and an integrated look on the vehicle. It is also tested to SAE J684 protocols for safety. It's a great kit if you want to haul something light, I use this mount on my 2015 Chevy Malibu to haul a 4X 8 U-Haul trailer and I had about 600 lb in it total, the rear mounting points are a bit flimsy, but they hold, install properly with torquing the nuts and bolts

Fit my 2018 Impala and was O.K. to install with hand tools but I used an impact gun to tighten the main bolts. No drilling was required on my model.I called the helpline because the drawings in the manual were showing the incorrect bolt and frame connections. Helpline call was fast and helpful.

Does fit on impala ltz if you want to know. I tried to get manufacture to answer that question before I ordered and got nowhere. It's just a pain to get to the upper bolts with the Lys trim and exhaust tips. Hitch is made very strong but I'm not a fan of the mount points. Don't see how it can be rated as a class 2 and handle 3500lbs it's basically mounted to two 3/8" bolts to a muffler hanging unibody panel and one bolt to the lower control arm bracket. Could have stronger mounting points. I don't plan on towing more than 1000 lbs with it it just using for a bicycle rack.

Hangs way down compared to their add. Looks terrible on the Buick. Worse looking than U-haul.

I purchased this hitch for my 2014 Chevy Malibu. It fit perfectly without having to drill any additional holes. It took about 40 minutes to install. I purchased this hitch to carry my bike rack and my bikes. It is solidly built. I would highly recommend this product.
