Although not listed as fitting a 2020 Niro EV, with some modifications, it does. With very careful measurements, and several test fits, it is working like a charm on my Niro. There are a few You Tube videos on the process, but because of manufacturing differences in both the vehicle and the hitch, each install will be slightly different.I had to drill two extra holes, and modify the original holes to get the fit I was after. All included hardware worked flawlessly. Instructions were clear and easy to follow.Well worth the effort, vehicle easily tows a HF trailer to the yard waste/beauty bark site.

I will never tow a heavy trailer with my Kia Niro, but I did want to mount a good bike rack so I bought this hitch. It is fantastic. Installation is not for tree-shade mechanics, take it to a professional with a hoist and proper equipment. This is a very high-quality product The casting is precise and very substantial, and the powder coated finish is perfect. They provide good information with it to guide installation. The mechanic who installed mine is also a close friend, so I hung out and held the light for him and was able to see the process. The main issue is that my car is a Kia Niro Plug-in Hybrid, and the specs say that this hitch is not compatible. I was unable to find one that is compatible, and this is really the hitch I wanted, so I did some digging around until I found a video of a mechanic installing one of these on a car like mine. The issue is that a small bracket needs to be trimmed back to allow the hitch to seat properly. This was fairly easy for a skilled mechanic with a torch, but would have been a deal-breaker for me trying to do it.Once it's mounted, it works fantastically well. It looks like it was built with the car, does not rattle at all, and is rock solid with the bike rack on and loaded. Highly recommended!

Easy to install by myself using 8” ramps to lift rear and jack stands to support the weight of hitch making that “first bolt”, which is nearly impossible without a second person., easy peasy and 10 mins later my hitch is installed. I chose the 1.25” class III receiver as my thinking was I am only using a bike carrier not towing so I don’t need a class II 2” hitch and I saved 12 bucks. Whoop de flipping do. Will this manchild (myself) ever learn? My bike carrier is a 2” male I should have checked not assume it was 1.25 so I “saved” 12 dang dollars for a lot of wasted time trying to find the right adapters for my 2” bike carrier. So I spend another 38 dollars on 2nd adapter and it “should work” but grrrrriiiiiindddd and scraaaaaaaaape it drags with the extra length so now I return the first adapter and get another this time with a 4” lift to it and low and behold, it’s not long enough. so now I try the straight adapter and the elevated one 68. Dollars for both)and it’s a rocking swaying scrapping nightmare for my car and my bike. My 5000 Sur Ron bike. Last thing I want to see is that bike swaying scraping and bouncing 6 inches in either direction. So I have ordered another type of lift adapter with more travel to clear my bumper. If this doesn’t work I will have to uninstall this hitch and return it and purchase the 2” hitch receiver , install it, see how bike carrier attaches sans the 2 adapters. All the wasted time to save the equivalent of a coffee and a bagel. Moral of this story? A little R&D goes a loooooooooong way. If’n yall don’t be A knowin your male end of the bike o’ carrier size, you best be a asking somebody or even the Google machine doo hickey oracleOf knowledgeability before making this here purchase. I guess it’s a role type reversal to say bigger is better In this case being it’s the female side o the adapter that is best big and wide and deep inside seeing that if your bike carriers male side 1.25 ehh hmm ain’t as big as mines 2” thick male bike carrier um what’s my point oh yeah it’s less expensive to buy a 2” to 1.25” square adapter o space fillin do hickey to make it all fit tight and right all day ain’t night boy you ain’t right. But these hereCurt hitches is am the real deal beaches. Just get the 2” reciebsr it’s worth every ducket for that bucket. Ain’t got no pictures so you gotsta use your imaginationasizer. Wear gloves and a mask and always practice safe stuff and stuff. That’s my review y’all . Oh behave which ya dirty minds. ;-p

That is NOT for 2017 Kia NIRO.

There is a YouTube video on how to install this. Watch it. Very helpful. I'm a computer tech that doesn't work on cars and I did it. But I do know which end of a ratchet is which. You need to pull one of the plastic cover panels underneath a cut it. Becareful pulling the 3 plastic retainer plug/pins holding it on, there is a center plug that needs to slide out 1st before the pin/plug will release. If you just yank it out with a pliers you'll foul the retaining pin/plug. Don't ask how I know this. :) correct tools do make the job easier.

Great hitch. Fits perfect on 2019 Kia Niro Touring.I highly recommend following the other review here that talks about using different bolts instead of cutting the plastic.

The instructions say 45 minutes for a novice, took me like 3 hours in total. Tips that I would offer:1) If you're going to go this alone have a jack and jack stands handy (I had to lift the car to get to the center exhaust hanger, used the jack to lift the hitch into place and a jack stand to hold the opposite end while I tried to get the nut on the side I was working on.)2) The instructions suggest a special tool or a wrench w/pry bar to get the rubber exhaust hangers loose. A bit of silicone spray for lube and some wiggling was a better option for me. Makes removal and re-insertion a breeze.3) As another reviewer suggested: Save yourself some headache and buy some M6 nuts and fender washers instead of cutting the driver side panel.

Fits perfect. On youtube they show how to install. The insruction tell you to cut the driver's side panel. You do NOT have to. Go to the hardware store and buy 2 M6 nuts and fender washers and mount the panel with then.

It doesn't say in the title, but it's meant for a 2017+ Kia Niro. The easiest hitch install I ever did. I just undid one of the three suggested exhaust hangers and was okay.
