Installed this on a 2002 GMC savanna in about 30 minutes with one person.1 modification neededIt comes with six bolts 4, 1/2 inch and 2, 9/16The two 9/16 bolts go in the rear of the vehicle, but the holes on my van were not big enough. I used a step bit to open the holes up just a little for the bolt to fit.The the holes on the hitch and the van did not lineup perfectly, but they were close enough to get it in, although a little tight. I would recommend opening up the other four holes on the van frame just a little, so the bolts have a little bit of room to shift when mounting the hitch up.All in all, this was a very easy installation and this is a very heavy duty hitch.

It looks like a very well built hitch, but it came without protective packaging and no hardware for mounting

The hitch seems to be high quality but the hardware it came with is wrong. 4 correct bolt/nut/flange combo. Two incorrect bolt/nut/flange combo. Amazon support corrected the issue with a partial refund do to size of item.

Very heavy duty and has worked well. Glad we went with this one. We use it to tow a trailer from the mountains to the ocean monthly.

It pains me to tell people to not buy a Curt hitch as they are all I have used for the last 15 years. I recently purchased this Class 5 hitch for my 2012 Express 3500 and it does not fit. The front bolt on each side is off by about half a hole. If only it were so simple as drilling the hole out; it isn't as you would be potentially compromising the integrity of the hitch or van frame. Regardless, the hitch should fit correctly amd it doesn't. Adding insult to injury, the hitch had many battle scars from shipping since it came with absolutely no packaging; if there was hardware with the hitch, it did not make the trip from Amazon to my house. I spoke with Curt customer support and they treated me like I had never installed a hitch. When the dimension the tech told me did not match the holes in the hitch, he resorted to telling me I didn't know how to read a tape measure. To verify it was not my van's frame (that has never been wrecked), I installed my Class 4 Reese hitch, the original GM hitch and a 2021 Express van heavy duty hitch. All three of those fit without issue. After this experience, I decided to go with a Reese Titan Class 5 and it should be here in a couple weeks.IF YOU OWN A CHEVY EXPRESS OR GMC SAVANA, DO NOT BUY THIS HITCH, IT DOES NOT FIT. Pictures are of the misalignment of the Curt hitch and then the Reese hitch bolted back on until I get a new one that fits.

Purchased this for my 2015 Chevrolet Express 3500 Van. It arrived with the right side bent, but I assume this was a UPS handling problem, not a factory defect (so I do not penalize Amazon). I straightened the bend as I figured it would be faster and easier than trying to repackage the hitch and send it back (and I had a heavy duty floor jack to fix the problem). As most reviewers noted, it requires a 9/16 drill bit to install, but I ordered one from Menards at the same time. After fixing the bend and drilling out two holes, had no problem bolting the hitch to the frame. Easy access for the bolts (and the hardware came with fishwires for the bolts in case access was limited). Heavy duty hitch for a reasonable price.

Only 6 bolts. I have a 2007 GMC Savana 1500. All 6 holes in the frame are 1/2 inch. The 2 rear holes require a 9/16 bolt. So I had to drill those holes out a little. No big deal. Inserted bolts, lifted hitch up on my floor jack. Started nuts on bolts. Torqued to spec.I had previously purchased a cheaper mutli-fit Reese hitch. What a nightmare. Instructions confusing. Multiple brackets to assemble. Could not get it to fit after 4 hours. This Curt hitch fit perfect and was all 1 piece. Do yourself a favor and spend a few more bucks on this Curt hitch.

I installed it but it wasn't the best fit ,2 holes didn't line up very well.A novice installer would probably have alot of trouble.
