FYI, I consider myself mechanically inclined. Maybe I'm just an idiot, or maybe these brackets create way more work than a universal rail kit would need. If you have a shop with a lift, and air tools, sure it could be easy. I don't have that, but I still think a universal kit would've been easier with those luxuries. This install was an absolute nightmare for me. The brackets were sized incorrectly, just slightly, and makes it very difficult to make the hitch pin tabs fit into the rail slots. If you notice, the rail bolts on the front passenger side are hex bolts and not carriage bolts, nuts are welded on the bracket. They had to do this because otherwise you wouldn't get to them underneath the truck. The driver's side front bolts are far in above the gas tank, very difficult to get to, place spacers between bracket and bed, and then get them to 110 ft lbs. I'm sure I was close, but I never got the main bolts to 250ft lbs. With all my might, I never made the torque wrench click. With this design, there is zero room for error, and Curt made an error. I will never install "custom" brackets again LoL and I will pay for the install. Now I know LoL.

One star rating is too much. I understand that company’s need to make money and I also understand that customers do make mistakes ordering things but this product did not fit the frame of the truck we purchased it for. So I asked for a return label and a refund because it didn’t fit on the truck. We needed this for the truck and would have installed it if it fit the way it should have. We have to pay for return shipping and on top of that had to pay a restocking fee as well, for a total of over $160.00 for something that did not fit our truck. Not a happy customer at all!
