I purchased this hitch to install on a camper for various hitch attachments. The main purpose being a bike rack for an e-bike. This was exactly what I needed. It is well made and simple in its design. I was able to adjust its location to suit the bike rack and bike.

The hitch was very easy to install. Slipped right over my 4×4 bumper with no problems. Was snug enough to not fall off until I got the bolts in place. Does not come with the grade 8 bolts as advertised. Only comes with grade 5. Definitely not as strong as the grade 8.

Does just what it claims. I was able to add a bike rack and carry our bikes on the back of the travel trailer. We’ve put about 1500 miles on it since installation and it’s just as solid as the day installed. Beware that your bumper may not be able to handle/or be rated for the weight. Our bumper has a sticker that says “installation of aftermarket equipment voids warranty” but I looked at all of the bumper attachment points before ordering to ensure that the bumper was welded to the frame in all possible locations. So far so good and worth the money.

Absolutely perfect for my needs. This item saved me the cost of welding Job (at least double). High quality thick steel. I feel very confident using this attachment. Easy and quick to install. Stop thinking about it and buy one.

This unit is exactly as advertised and worked perfectly on the back of our travel trailer. Our bumper is welded directly to the frame so it's extremely strong and the bike carrier is solid. It was easy to attach and fit perfectly.

My second one of these. I had a near disaster with the first one. This item is designed and advertised perfectly. The rest is up to you. I used it to carry a generator on the back of a trailer. Total weight, 235 pounds. After about 70 miles, when I went over a cattle grate, the bumper twisted near the welds and if not for safety straps to the I-beam, my generator would have hit the road and been destroyed or possibly caused an accident. Trailer bumpers are designed for looks and sewer hose storage. They are about 1/32 of an inch, (.030) thick. I replaced mine with 7/16 wall tubing, (.437) thick. The 4" outside remains the same allowing the use of this hitch while the inside becomes smaller because of the thickness. I had to add a tube to store the sewer hose. I bought a second hitch mount to add side to side stability for bumper carrier I purchased at harbor freight to carry my generator. I could carry 500 pounds plus and it would never twist again.

This is a great item, well thought out and very user friendly. I use it on the back of my travel trailer to hold a five bike bike rack. The installation was very easy though I did it a little different than the directions stated. I actually put it upside down so that the metal receiver acted as part of the stabilizer on the bumper. This has worked well and has made it through approximately 4000+ miles. My only concern is that my bumper is not rated for the weight so I do use a tie-down to hold the rack to the frame, again not because I do not trust the hitch, because I do not trust the bumper.Great product and saves you a bunch of money over installing a real hitch on your car or RV.

I recently had a Curt Fifth Wheel hitch installed in my new truck and was very impressed with the quality and features. I planned to install a hitch on the back of my fifth wheel trailer to tow my boat and saw this one at Camping World. I got online and found it on Amazon for about half the price. Great deal, super hitch and exactly as described. Since it was available locally, I assumed it would meet my needs. Once I started checking the Michigan laws on towing with a fifth wheel, I found that the hitch must be attached to the frame and can not be attached soley to the bumper of the fifth wheel. So, even though this is a quality product and I'd buy it again if I lived in another state where it is legal, I can't use it for one of the intended purposes. If I were going to use it to attach a cargo carrier to the back of my trailer to carry items it'd be great, but in some states it's illegal to use this type of hitch to tow a trailer. This is a quality product, but limited by law in some states. Check out the laws locally before you buy it to make sure you're not disappointed. Again, a super quality hitch.

Worked great! Just tested it on a week long camping trip. I'm using for extra storage with a extended rack off the back of my campers bumper. This is a heavy duty hitch mount. Very easy to install and can mount up or down. It took less than ten minutes to mount where I wanted it. I installed down so items are under my tail lights. This is a very well constructed product with very tight welds and nice paint job. Heavy duty installation bolts only need one wrench to install as they are counter sunk so they don't stick out for close in installs.
