Your cart is empty.It takes a lot of power to stop a moving trailer, especially when that trailer is hauling a heavy load. On RVs, flatbeds, livestock trailers and many other oversize haulers, manufacturers typically install trailer brakes to assist the tow vehicle in bringing such a massive amount of weight to a halt. But it takes more than a good set of brakes to make quick, efficient stops. It takes precision and the right amount of control. Discovery is a time-based brake controller, meaning it applies increasing brake pressure the longer your foot is on the brake pedal. This pressure is based on the gain setting and sensitivity adjustment set by the user. Discovery has a digital display for easy monitoring and the ability to manage up to four axles at a time. It mounts at any angle, anywhere in your vehicle and comes with an automatic power level adjustment feature to ensure you can stay better focused on your driving and spend less time worry about your trailer brakes. All CURT brake controls are designed to work with quick plugs so that they can readily plug into your vehicle's original equipment socket. They also include a mounting bracket and hardware for easy installation. A brake controller should be mounted somewhere on the dash of your vehicle, and we recommend putting it below the steering wheel, either on the right or left side of the steering column. This way the control will not block your view when driving, but it will remain accessible and visible when adjustment is needed.

Good to know ! The Controller works only if the trailer is connected to the car ( the trailer electric brake and Ground have good contact to the car where you install the Brake controller ). So far so good!

Cruised multiple shops in town for a trailer brake controller for my truck. Almost all of them were outdated and overpriced. Snagged this one off Amazon which is cheap, easy to install, and user friendly. After watching a YouTube video I had the confidence to install it myself. Easy to adjust as well. Digital display is nice.

The car didn't have a factory towing package so there was a lot of wiring involved to install.

Easy to install. Be sure and buy the quick plug from Curt that goes to your vehicle for a plug and play installation. Controller is easy to adjust with digital display and delay switch on the side. Great value for the money of you need a brake controller!

the controls are different from other brands but its ok, *typically the slide bar will max out the brakes no matter what your other adjustments are but in this case its only a manual switch and will only control the brakes based on your adjustments (aka typically you slide that bar and the trailer brakes will lock up) but not in this case. the product did arrive damaged, the second digit on the screen does not light up properly and is unreadable, not a major problem since i adjust the brake via feel instead of using the numbers

Easy install, but it had to be hard wired for my 1998 gmc sierra. Easy to follow instructions and setup. Easy to use and adjust as needed for different trailers and weights.

I have a 2012 dodge ram 1500 slt crew cab 5.7HEMI , and i bought a 27ft toy hauler and i was recommended a brake controller, so after doing some research & reading some reviews i decided to order this one , it helped my tons especially gound down hill with 1side by side and 2 fourwheelers , on top of all the coolers and stuff for Hunting, installation was super fast but i had to order a different wiring harness for the brake controller because it disnt fit my truck brake kit harness. I recommend for anyone that is pulling some weight on your truck. Lots of relief on your truck brakes ,,,, i did 3 trips and worked great so far. Hope my review helps Good luck
