I’m not seeing how this is any better than a 35$ version. It did not clamp tightly on the grinder and kept getting misaligned and so got all worn off by the diamond blade inside the housing. The small hose clamp does not provide enough clamping force to keep the shroud in place on the grinder for a full day of work. The off-center weight of a shop vac hose was all it took to knock the shroud out of alignment with the blade of the grinder. Spent half the day reinstalling the housing on the grinder. Not worth $100+.

Easy to install on my Makita 7" grinder. Cut through layers of tile and cement board indoors without the need to install dust barricades. Wished I'd bought this years ago. It seems durable, although I've only used it on two projects so far.

Was nervous based on cost and other reviews, but have been very happy. High level of duct control well worth the investment. Scoring existing basement slab about 1" deep for interior french drain installation. Tried other methods to control dust, but failed. This product on a 4" angle grinder (Rigid) worked very well. Little bit of dust on initial cut until guard sits down flat on slab. I also kept some water on floor as I cut, which helped. No dust flew out of the cut area as others reviewed. Also recommend tighten clamp with hex driver, to avoid stripping the head. Don't over-tighten, no need.

I am giving this product two stars because it did help capture some dust. The problem was it did not capture all the dust even with a vacuum that had a clean filter. My basement looked like I never even used a dust shroud.

It works...sucks up to 98% of the dust. I use it on my grinder to chase wall for electrical conduit. Make sure your shop vac filter is clean and the you use the bag for fine dust collection.I had to drop 1 star because the hose clamp stripped on the second use. Easy to replace once you find the right width and thickness clamp.

I am very pleased with this device. I used it to cut some stucco out around a door that needed replacement. I made a little black guide line on the back edge of the cover so that I could just follow my line with the mark. The depth adjustment works well and it also worked well with both a 4" blade and a 4.5" blade. I presume that one would be able to use up to a 6" blade if they made one that size. You can also offset the cover on the center of the arbors that you get a little more penetration with a smaller blade. The cover never came loose with the adjustable hose clamp. The hoses ability to spin around in the fitting made it very easy to use without much fighting the hose. I did have to empty my smaller vacuum more often but that's only because this thing captured like 99% of the dust. It does fling a few larger bits when you start a plunge but if you start with the heal instead of a toe cut then it gets all of it.
