This is the second Dakine Peahi I've bought. The first one is for for my 12 foot gun and it was great last winter in Pacific Northwest. As board is big and heavy and the surf here is generally stormy-scary and ugly all winter, and with the long paddle outs with current- I wanted a leash that really reduced my chances of having to swim for my board. Its burly and robustly constructed. All the metal hardware is stainless steel and hasn't stained or pitted. Since the attachment point between the leash and the board is not velcro but a solid cuff that the two leash strings pass through, its easier to just leave this leash on the board so I bought another one for my 11'1" Joe Bauguess California Gun. I haven't used the Easy-Clip as a safety option but it is very securely attached to limit chance of ever accidentally removing it. However, I replaced the metal clip with a small captive stainless steel bolt. There's not another leash on the market that I know of that is this overbuilt. For what it is worth, it's made in Myanmar.

So far so good, have yet to use it , I like that the cuff and rail saver can be replaced
