Our Products

scarecrow

Owls and Natural Scaring Devices

Keeping hungry pests at bay is one of the most difficult challenges that gardeners face, and failing to protect your garden from all the creatures who see it as an abundant food source is bound to lead to frustration. Fortunately, our natural scaring devices are the perfect solution to this issue. By mimicking natural predators such as owls, falcons, and snakes, our highly realistic natural scaring devices are able to keep your garden pest-free in a way that is both effective and humane. Simply place these decoys around your garden to convince pests like rabbits, rats, and other vermin that your garden isn't a safe place for a nice meal - no harmful poisons or cruel traps required.

netting

Garden Netting and Fencing

If you are looking for a humane way to keep your garden free of pests, installing barriers such as netting and fencing is an excellent option to consider. A quality garden fence is able to keep out a wide range of hungry vermin, while garden netting can protect against all of the same pests while also preventing birds from being able to access your crop. At Dalen Products, we offer a wide range of garden netting and fencing to fit any garden's size, shape, and aesthetic. Best of all, our high-quality fences and nets are built to last a lifetime and are carefully designed to weather the outdoor elements without any damage.

landscape fabrics

Landscape Fabrics

As challenging as it is to keep your garden free of pests, keeping your garden free of weeds can often be even more difficult. At Dalen Products, though, we offer a solution to weed control that doesn't rely on harmful herbicides or back-breaking work. By covering your garden with high-quality landscape fabric, you can prevent weeds from ever sprouting in a way that doesn't inhibit the growth of your larger plants. If you are tired of spending hours pulling weeds by hand but don't want to contaminate your garden with powerful toxins, covering your garden with our made in the USA landscape fabrics is the effortless solution that you've been searching for.

I have always bought Kozy koats but this time I was sheltering peppers and thought that the green might be better. To my surprise I went to Che k on my garden to find the every single one had fallen over, while the Kozy Koats are still standing. I filled them properly and they were fine. Now I have to replace plants I lost. Very disappointed in this product. I am an experienced gardener.

I’ve been using water insulated plant protectors since the original Wall of Water came out 50 years ago. They all work, but they will also all eventually leak and possibly collapse unless you plan ahead. Leaks can be fixed, either by finding them and repairing them with aqua seal, or inserting a cut out tube into the old one. Starting out with good quality helps, that is why I buy this brand. But here are some key tips to get the best results: 1. Put a five gallon bucket over the plant to start. Dedicate one for this purpose by drilling some finger holes in the bottom to make it easier to pull it out, or just use a large tree pot if you have one. 2. The key is the foundation: buy a bunch of 36” bamboo stakes and use 8 or 10 to spread out the bottom of the protector all around the bucket. This will keep the bottom spread out evenly and keep everything in place as you fill the tubes with water. After the tubes are full remove the stakes and remove the bucket. The final step is to carefully insert three stakes against the inside walls of the protector teepee style and secure with a zip tie, this will prevent a collapse. As the plants grow you can also use the bamboo stakes or hoops to open the top

This season starter is perfect for early spring when there is overnight frost. It is tall, durable, and really easy to use... just unfold it, pour water in the compartments and put the plant inside. So far its already frozen a few times and the plant seems to be growing great! Would recommend this brand, good value.

These really do work great for protecting your seedlings from the wind and frost. They can be a little tricky getting setup. Just put a 5 gallon plastic bucket upside down over your plant, then place the plant protector over the bucket and fill the cells about half to 3/4 the way up. Now slowly remove the bucket and fill all the cells fully. I have found that it is a good idea to put one or two tall garden stakes inside the ring to help in very high winds. I typically am getting tomatoes weeks before anyone else here in the high desert of Northern Nevada.

My family has been using this product for over 20 years. It works wonderfully! It created a green house effect and protects smaller/younger plants from the elements. I have done this experiment many times with tomatoes - I covered half of them with this water cone and left half uncovered (in a month of May in Oregon before consistent sunshine hits). The plants that were covered for 2-3 weeks grew twice as fast as the uncovered ones. I use these with tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, etc. - all of the plants that love warmer temperatures. Most of the time the cones last me 5+ years, some less, but mostly they are good for a good long while. It's a bit of work to fill them all with water (I use 20-30 each year), but it's worth it. The only concern is the price - this product used to be much cheaper and now is pretty spendy.

Been using these for decades (formerly known as a "wall of water"). Ideal for temperature sensitive plants when transplanting during cooler temperatures, thus extending your growing season (especially tomatoes and peppers). 4 stars as this brand is new to me, so I have little idea as to how robust they are (i.e., how many seasons will I get out of them). Best to place the ring over a 5 gallon bucket before attempting to fill the tubes with water. You may even consider placing your transplanted veggy first, put the 5 gal paid over it and then put the water ring around the pail. Once filled, remove the pail and you're set. When finished, empty the water into a bucket for use on the garden's plants.

I'm an experienced gardener who's used a "similar product" for years. I needed to replace them and while viewing on Prime/Amazon - I spied these - so decided to save some money! The old saying: You Get What You Pay For - well, is so true in this case. These garden life helpers (tomatoes) did not meet up to the sturdy standard of the "other types" I've bought in the past. After only a week or so - they began leaking water from the cells that create a sort of hot-house for each plant. There are a few tiny design differences I do like; the most important is the width of the cells; the other is the little lip design at the top of the cell which makes filling each one easier. I also would like to make note of the video clip that comes along on the site; it's not really useful the way they show you how to fill - interestingly enough too - the video doesn't actually show the viewer the entire process of filling the cells on the ground - which; by the way BECOMES the issue of filling. The thing usually gets wobbly and impossible to wrestle while attempting to get the thing steady - SO - I actually have a better method of filling!no matter - I won't be buying THIS BRAND again; in order to "save money" I will just wind up investing in the "original model" that lasts me about 5 years if I take good care of it each season. That means cleaning; drying out completely and storing well each winter.I would not recommend this product for your garden.
