I have a very old Valley II Hot & Cold shower knobs.This was exactly what I needed otherwise, I would have to replace the entire component.

Extension fit beautifully. However, the screws in the Danco faucet repair kit (hot/cold cartridges, handles, screws) so not fit. Too small to thread into extension.
