I have the same problem as a couple other reviews state. The parts do not fit.1. The screw that holds the handle in place is too large. It's a #12 and should be a #10.2. The retainer assembly, which holds the actual valve seals doesn't fit properly. The assembly has a rib on the end that needs to be a tight friction fit is *very* loose. So loose that it will not remain in position as you try to put the stem back into the body. So it pops out as you try to put the stem back in, and then it jams. It was also nearly impossible to get the piece out in order to start over. I had to flush it out and I had to try over and over. Took me 15 minutes. It will be a real pain the next time it needs to be replaced again cause the assembly will pop off unknowingly.3. The plastic nut that holds the stem in place does not have a proper chamfer and it makes it difficult to screw in without cross threading it. I had to try over and over again.

Excellent product, shipped quickly and arrived before expected date. None of the hardware stores or plumbing supply shops in town carried this as they wanted to sell you the whole spigot fixture. Replacing the whole spigot would involve cutting out drywall in a tight spot and possibly a plumber. This package of supplies was exactly what we needed to fix a leaky outdoor faucet easily. I used a little bit of plumbers tape around the threads of the nylon nut and used all of the replacement parts that came in the package. Worked like a jiffy…not a single water drop. Works great and it took less than 10 minutes to complete.

The kit stopped leaks around the stem as well as stopped dripping when valve was closed. Cost of the kits was way less than that of new sill cocks and required much less of my labor.

So I purchased this kit solely for the purpose for the washers because it doesn't fit my outdoor faucet. Funny thing however, that one broke and then the other did too. It is cheaper to get this rather than install a brand new faucet which will run about $30-35. I highly recommend fixing items like this rather than starting from scratch. This is not the best kit out there, but has all you need to fix the leak. It fixed my leak very well.

A great set to replace a leaking faucet. The whole repair took about 15 minutes from start to finish. After the assembly was repaired, no more leaks! I hooked the hose up and went around the yard spraying. Not a single drip of water after the replacement parts went in. However, I did rate this a 4 due to a the big nut being made of I believe nylon. When tightening back up, it appears to get scuffed up. However, shouldn't be much of an issue if you repair the assembly correctly, just would to have liked to have seen a hard plastic. Overall, very happy with the purchase as it did stop my leak!
