I received the cricket basket in good condition, however upon opening the basket and it springing upward and over to the side I was disappointed. The basket is supposed to be collapsible it did not say it leaned to one side resembling the tower of Pisa. The spring isn't strong enough to support the weight. I have not used it, and I'm not quite sure I will. There is a lip on the basket that is supposed to keep live bait from exiting, however with this lean I'm not quite sure how long the bait will stay in. If I were to do this again I'd buy the upright non-collapsible normal version.

I used this while we were at fish camp, I was planning to use it for may flies. For some reason it didn't come with a lid, so there was no way to close it. ?? I would have thought it would have come with a lid, and had to get creative to close it up.. So...it sort of worked for us, and would have been really nice if it had a lid that fits the unit.

Perfect for carrtimg crickets from the bait shop back to my bearded dragon. I hang it up close to his cage and throw in lettuce leaves every so often.

I bought this thinking the that it being collapsible would be nice for storage. Upon opening it I noticed the spring that pops it open was barely strong enough to support the weight of just the cage. It was even worse once I put 100 crickets in it. Woke up the morning after I bought the crickets and found half my crickets gone and several just hanging out on the outside of the cage. Just overnight they had already torn several little holes thru the mesh material around the top edges. Apparently the maker of these never tested to make sure that couldn't happen. I would not recommend buying these. Just get a good old fashioned metal cage.
