This is my first pair of Danners and I have been highly impressed with the comfort. I was a bit leary about the cost of these boots but I can say as far as comfortability the price was worth it. I used to wear another brand of boots for years but the comfort and durability has been declining.Reason for the 4 stars is not real big on the front of look on the boots. I don't like how the sole goes so high in the front of the boot and has the small rubber dots on the front. Could have done something to make that design look better in my opinion.As far as durability we will find out as I have only had these for about a month. They seem to be holding up for now.I haven't heard any nose coming from the boots when I walk as some have said and yeah they are a little toasty when wearing them. They are very light boots I feel like. As far as being waterproof I haven't been walking around in any ditches just yet but I know I will soon enough. But as far as wearing them for 12hrs I have had no problem with that. Would definitely recommend if your on the fence about getting some and I will purchase another pair when these have reached their end of life.

Best boots I’ve purchased in years. Great comfort, quality. Break in took a day or two. I’ve had these over a year of street work and they have held up great.

Really great boots - and I wish I could have kept them! I wanted something for wearing on the motorcycle, and these don't offer quite as much protection above the ankle as some others I tried - they are mostly textile in the top part, with not much leather. But that's also part of the reason they are so comfortable - there's less bulk there, and it's easier to flex your ankle. This is especially welcome in a waterproof boot, which often feel very bulky. (Note that the lower part, where your foot is, is very well protected; it's just the area above the ankle that's lighter in weight, kind of like a jungle boot.)They're also unusually stylish. The textile has a unique pattern and, combined with the the subtle stripes on the sides, it makes for a good looking boot. The sole is good and chunky, too, but not ridiculous looking, like with some boots. So, I would have loved to keep them, but I had to go with something else for the motorcycle.PS - In case you are curious, I got the Bates Men's 8" Raide Hot Weather Side Zip Military and Tactical Boot. There's a waterproof version of this, but it was too bulky and stiff, and it was hard to get my toe under the shifter, so I traded off waterproofing.

*UPDATED*After wearing these for 2 days for 16 hours total they are the most uncomfortable boot I've ever worn. I've changed the insoles 3 times in the time I've had them and nothing has worked. The left shoe has a different feel than the right. The over all make of the boot seems good but I had to unfortunately return these. Back to 5.11.This is my first pair of Danner, I've always worn 5.11My initial reaction is they are super stiff obviously, they'll break in like any other boot.The standard insoles aren't all that great but I always change mine out cause I'm a bit picky.The sizing is perfect so no worries on that.The arch support seems a bit stiff and that's a little worrisome so we'll see how that plays out. I'veI've always heard great things about Danner so I gave it a try.

Was intrigued about this boot, very cool looking. If you have wide feet, do not buy it. The material is thin, and the sole comes very high in the side. The seatbelt material on the side and the sole dug in the side of my foot all the time. 2 hours into a 12 hour shift I had to give in and switch boots. Had high expectations from danner, disappointed. Will be returning.

I've only had the boots a couple days so I can't go too in depth but these boots have been great! I wear them for 16 hours a day and they are always comfortable! Would definitely recommend!

Boot wears great, size is perfect. I work in public safety and it is a good support boot that I would almost compare to a tennis shoe comfort.
