Great price.Installed with the help of my neighbor (neither of us are professional mechanics, but we are mechanically inclined). We both looked over YouTube install videos until we were comfortable.Took less than an hour to drain, remove, replace, and refill. Hardest part was reaching the bottom nut for removal and replace.I’ve had it over a month (2500mi) and still works fine. I’ll update in a few months.

I was initially pleased, but the water pump only lasted about 300 miles before failing. I made the mistake of finishing my drive home when the pump failed having figured that it would be fine since it was about 40 degrees F, but I put on the new water pump and within about 40 miles my engine started running horribly. I put a boroscope in the cylinder and found a large pool of standing coolant. It ended up being about the same cost to have a JDM engine installed as it would have cost to have the head gasket replaced. I'm highly disappointed. Save yourself and buy another pump. I'd even recommend buying the impeller before this pump as the replacement impeller seemed to last just as long for far less money.

The water pump came in a well protected molded styra foam box. It matched my oem water pump off of my 2014 Prius. It was super easy to replace the old one. I removed the plastic faux valve cover. It just sits on rubber grommets. Then I removed the air filter box assembly. Two bolts inside the box, two on the top brackets and two more on the passenger side. I just placed the filter box lid aside without disconnecting it. One clamp for the 2 inch hose of the box housing and just unhook the small hose on the side of the box. The assembly should lift up so you can put it aside. I did not drain my coolant since it's pretty new and still clean. I disconnected the lower radiator hose behind the water pump instead and put it aside facing up to keep the rest of the coolant from draining out. I had a shallow basin to catch the coolant that leaks. There are five bolts on the water pump. Two bolts towards the back of the car are long. Make sure to keep track where they go. The one on the bottom will be easier to remove if you remove the front passenger wheel and leave it on a jack stand. There is a small piece of fender linner toward the bottom. There are four push clips to remove it. You can keep the top clip towards the front in place and just let the linner dangle so you may access the bottom bolt of the water pump. Make sure to remove the wire harness for the pump prior to removing the pump.To install, torque the bolts for the pump at 19 lbs.Reinstall everything back in reverse procedure. Make sure to refill your coolant reservoir and let the car run to normal operating temperature and make sure to turn on your heater to make sure all the air is purged out of the system. Refill the reservoir if necessary. Good luck and enjoy.

I bought this pump to replace the factory pump on my 2010 prius after I started getting the P261B error code. It worked for about two weeks before I got another P261B water pump error code. If you disassemble this device and compare it to the OEM pump, you see that there is no internal heatsinking on the circuit board, where the OEM pump has thermal pads connected to the aluminum casing. For those not familiar with electronics, THIS IS A HUGE DEAL AND A DEATH SENTENCE FOR YOUR PUMP. This pump is responsible for cooling your cars engine. Its importance cannot be overstated. If your engine overheats it will begin to expand and warp until you blow a head gasket, A DEATH SENTENCE FOR YOUR CAR. Do yourself a very big favor and just buy the more expensive OEM part.

I recently purchased this electric water pump as a replacement for my car, and I am extremely satisfied with its quality. This water pump provides excellent performance and reliability, comparable to the dealer's OEM part, but at a much more affordable price.I have been using this electric water pump for over five months now, and I have not encountered any issues whatsoever. It has consistently delivered efficient water circulation to cool my engine, ensuring optimal performance and preventing any overheating problems. Not only is this water pump reliable, but it also proves to be a cost-effective alternative to the dealer's OEM option. The price difference between the two is significant, making this electric water pump an excellent choice for those looking to save some money without compromising on quality.Overall, I highly recommend this electric water pump. Its excellent quality, durability, and unbeatable price make it a worthwhile investment for any car owner. Whether you're looking to replace a faulty water pump or want to have a reliable spare on hand, this product is sure to exceed your expectations.
