It works as it should. I used it to install a pulley on an 08 Dodge Ram 5.7 power steering pulley. You need this specialty tool due to the shaft pump been recessed (if you want to do it properly). It worked extremely well I highly recommend this tool if needed. The only draw back is on composite or non ferrous metals, it won’t stick.

I checked accuracy and it is good. The pulley sizes that it works on is limited, The micro switch that rest against the pulley will not turn on when placed on a large pulley. Tape can be used

Very well made and easy to use. Helped me diagnose a difficult pulley alignment problem. Doesn’t work that great on smaller pulleys but it is a very nice tool.

I had been replacing my serpentine belt yearly on my 2002 Ford Ranger, 3.0 liter v6. I found the AC pulley was off 1 rib. I was able to shim the compressor and solve the issue. The laser worked great, I didn’t really need the included target. The beam was highly visible on the ribs of the pulley. I believe this tool payed for itself in the first use.

Where do I start. Let’s start with the negatives.1) The picture in the ad shows 6 blue Belt Wear Gauges, the kit only contained 3.2) The Belt Alignment Tool light switch only turns on if the pulley is the right diameter. I used tape to depress the micro switch to turn on the light.3) The Laser Target does not sit level (tilts to the front or back) on pulleys smaller than 2-1/2” in diameter because the magnets interfere.The positives.1) The Belt Gauge works as described!2) The Belt Tensioner Gauge “Krikit” works as described!3) The Belt Alignment Tool does work.The laser is bright, has a tall beam!4) Comes in a plastic case.5) Comes with a extra battery.

Tool will not work on engines with multiple pulleys close to each other.I had to disassemble pulleys and check them two at a time because the beam keeps getting blocked.
