La primera vez conecté el CDI tal cual viene y no funcionó, no encendía la motocicleta. El plug-in de 2 cables viene cambiada su posición. Una vez hecho esto, la moto funcionó correctamente.Definitely the CDI works. The plug-in with two cables are reversed. You only need to change the position and that's it.

Yes you have to change a couple of wire positions, worth the extra work for a part that is unavailable for my application.

bought this for my 91 cb250 and it would receive power to the cdi but would not transmit the power through the cdi. bought an OEM version and solved the problem. just spend the $85, save your time.

This earlier model CDI unit had two ignition coil supplies not one in the wiring harness for these motorcycleslater CDI units only have one ignition coil supply from the CDI unit.

This unit was dead. I know this because I replaced it with a unit from Rick's and the bike fired right up. Even the original unit could get it running sporadically. Stay away from this.

I have a 1985 Honda 250 Rebel. Connect the blue wire (+ pick-up coil) in the new plug to the blue/yellow wire in the existing wiring harness. Connect both of the green wires (- pick-up coil and frame ground) to the 1 green wire. Connect the 1 orange wire (+ ignition coil) to both of the yellow/black wires. Connect the red wire (+ magneto coil) to the red/black wire. Connect the black wire (ignition and kill switch) to the black/white wire.

Worked perfectly for my needs. I have a project Chinese made ATV with a twin cylinder Honda rebel clone engine. It was missing many components of the ignition system when I acquired it, CDI, coils, ignition switch, etc. This CDI worked perfectly, if you know how to connect the wires to the proper locations you'll be just fine. The color codes didn't match, but I figured it out pretty quickly.ORANGE = ignition coilsBLUE = pickup coilRED = 12vGREEN = ground

ZER0 stars. I ordered 3 of these, and NONE of them worked. I purchased a used CDI, and my bike fired right up. also, I was only able to return 2 of the 3 defective CDIs. no spark on your bike? DO NOT try to solve the problem here.

Product doesn’t work for my 2008 Honda Rebel. I ended up buying a CDI box from the dealer. More expensive but work.

Worked great for 02 rebel 250. Bike was losing spark intermittently and stranding me. needed abnormal amount of choke at times (weak spark) But never would act up when trouble shooting at the shop. The wire location on 2 pin plug (cdi plug) needs to be reversed on bike harness to work. (Credit to previous review) Rode out tank and a half with new ignition before posting this review. Bike has way more pep and almost never needs choke now. Part was so inexpensive I have cash left to buy new bars.
