Routing a 1/4" x 1/4" rabbet on back of a picture frame. Shaft bent almost 90 degrees, destroyed my router base and my work...

Seems very sharp and well made. Has a very handy wooden storage box that houses everything. I was afraid this was just going to come as loose pieces and I would have to store everything somewhere. Bought these to router out a lip for a glass inlay in a end table I'm making.Rated a 4 because the outside box says it has a 1/2" shank when I KNOW I ordered the 1/4" shank. It is in fact a 1/4" shank but the packaging claims its 1/2 and I got mad that they had sent the wrong one. SO before you flip out check inside to see what you actually received! Should not be that hard to have different packaging made or at the least some stickers to slap on the box...

I purchased this bit to use with a Craftsman all-in-one cutting tool that accepts 1/4" shank bits and has a plunge router adapter. It came with everything you see in the picture in a nice little wooden box. Changing the bearing on the bit to adjust the rabbet width was quick and easy. So far it has worked fine for making clean 1/2" rabbets in white pine. I haven't tried it on any hardwoods yet.

Just a simple solution for woodworkers when one needs a variety of sized cuts/lips in a wood project. Simple AND effective.

Great bit set for the price. I'm not sure if it would hold up to everyday use, but works great for my occasional use.
