I bought this for a costume, I am actually going to keep it. Usually, I pitch or donate every costume that I have worn - unless there is a durability or functional reason to keep the them. It is solid and pretty; not the toy-like piece of junk that I anticipated.Just stating the facts here :-)

This blue half moon tambourine is a replacement for one that I lost at a gig. It arrived very fast. It has a great sound, not tinny or cheap sounding. If you have ever used cheap percussion instruments, you already know there is a big difference in fullness of sound and the pleasing accents of a well made tambourine. It has a very nice weight to it, heavy enough to give it some swing, light enough to shake all night. I'm very pleased. Thank you! Without needing to be said, the price was very easy on my wallet.

I love this tambourine because of the design and sound. Tone is higher than a full skinned tambourine and it gives a nice break during long sets. The half moon is lighter on the hand.

I'm just starting out on percussion and wanted a reasonably priced tambourine that was comfortable to play, sturdy and sounded good. This one is light but feels solid, and sounds good when shaken or struck. The half moon shape looks cool and is easy to grip, and the price was right-I couldn't be happier with it. It also arrived about 3 days earlier than I expected which gave me time to get a feel for it, before taking it out to rehearsal with the band-that was a nice extra.

I needed a tambourine that wasn't expensive yet didn't sound like garbage on gigs. I knew this would likely be abused in my bag of stuff so I didn't want to spend a fortune. This is a great instrument for the money, a good balance between money and quality as I could have spent more money on a lesser quality tambourine. Thank you!
