Keeps the little guy corralled for safety. It opens and closes with little effort. I had no difficulty installing it. Seems well made. I'm happy with it and would buy it again.

Installation was not very easy. I bought this to keep my dogs out of a room. They quickly realized that the mesh is easy to wiggle underneath. However, it is easy to open and close with one hand.

LOVE this gate! The extra length let us put this in a place that was super functional and safe when in use and very discreet when not in use! Easy to use and to wipe clean! Our small dog can sleep underneath it, even when locked but keeps our toddler safe.

Day 1, and so far I'm pleased with this gate. It's well made, sturdy, and went up fairly easily. The only part I really didn't like much is the adhesive backings on the wall mounts that you have to have in place when you position the gate section. You put the wall mounts into the gate body, peel the backing off the wall mounts, position the gate body against the wall, then lift it off the wall mounts which, of course, stay stuck to the wall so that you can mark where the screw holes go. Then you pull them off the wall and drill your holes. (Don't forget to pull the adhesive backing off of the wall mounts before screwing them into the wall.) Unfortunately, it's a really strong adhesive and it pulled my drywall apart, requiring a bit of a patch job before I could finish mounting the gate.

Received this and installed it yesterday. Works great and it was so easy to set up. One thing I didn't take into consideration was the placement of the hooks to latch the gate. They have to be installed flat to the wall, parallel with the gate and the wall I was mounting it on is at the bottom of the stairs. There wasn't enough room for it so I had to install it on a bit of an angle to the other edge of the end wall to get a large enough flat surface. It worked out in the end but it wasn't the way I wanted to install it.One additional note of caution - Careful when the gate is unlocked, the recoil will snap it back and mark your wall or damage the gate.
