If you’re looking for a short baby gate (spring loaded or something similar), this might just do the trick. Things that I liked are the height and the ease in which you can step over. We foster puppies and needed something to deter them from getting in areas that we don’t want them to, but still wanted to be able to move quickly from one room to another. The directions were not easy. I’ve shown in photos 2 examples where it says not to remove the metal bars from the middle, but you have to in order to put the clamps in place. The clamps are plastic and felt like they might break (which they did not), but there is one extra clamp included, which is nice and also tells me this may be a common problem. The clamps are clear versus black in the photo of the directions, but if you just look at the device, you can kind of figure out the steps to put it together. Things that I didn’t like… a 10 to 15 pound puppy cannot push this over but I do worry that an older child might easily push it over. For us, the price and speed in which it came is perfect for our use but might not be the best for keeping a baby or toddler safe.

I got this for my small dog and it works. She doesn’t jump over it. Main issue is the quality. The clips that make it adjustable broke off.

It’s not easy to put together and kinda flimsy but my corgi who can jump onto our tall couch will not try and jump over this.

It's a good sturdy short gate. It keeps my little dog from entering my extra room and depositing her "duty." But allows my aging cat to jump the short gate and use her cat litter box. It also allows me access to step over the gate without having to open or remove an obstacle.

This gate has worked great. It keep my small dog out of the room where my cats eat & go Potty. It is made well, just thought the quality could have been better. Had it for several months & it’s still in place. Nothing has broken. I would buy the gate again.

It's not rocket science, it's easy to install. Yes I can see where the clips my break over time but there's no reason to keep opening the them once it's installed. Also they give you an additional clip in case one breaks. I did buy the shorter fence and then raised it a couple inches from the ground. The first night the little pooch squeezed underneath so I lowered it. She tried to climb then eventually gave up (because she's old). If you have a puppy I'm sure they'll figure out how to get over the top. This is perfect height for dog and easy to step over for me. I would highly recommend, great price.

Do not purchase if you will need to remove or move that gate. The clicks used to adjust the size will break after a few uses.

Not sure if it’s a “you get what you pay for” thing or what, but overall this kinda sucks. It’s very flimsy and very cheap, my dog had no problem opening the sliding part (even with the locks they give) and knocking the whole thing down. I bought three of them and they all have the same problems.I eventually figured out how to rig it up with other things I had around the house so they’d (mostly) stay up and keep the sliding door closed, but I shouldn’t have to do that.Overall, you should avoid this unless your dog is very tiny.Edit; as time has gone on, these got worse and worse until the point where they’re practically unusable. I completely regret buying these and wish I had just bought higher quality gates for more money.
