I truly dislike giving negative reviews, but this one is deserving. The construction of this telescope, even though it is for display, is very flimsy, and the tripod is as wobbly as can be. Yes the telescope tube itself is brass, but it is thin brass. The top of the tripod is made of what appears to be very thin aluminum; like a soda can, painted to look like brass. Of my many purchases on Amazon, I've never returned a product, but as they say, there's a first time for everything. This is not worth their asking price.

it was a christmas gift for my fiance, the description states that it is functional but we couldn't see the stars at night. better for day time use which doesnt help us because he loves looking at the stars. He was impressed with the vintage look; even though it didnt turn out the way we hoped he still likes it.

For what it's worth it is a decent quality looking antique telescope, however it is not as pictured and there isn't much magnification if you are looking for something that works. I'm a little disappointed and after comparing the picture and what I got, I'm not super happy with pay $65 for this product.There is no cap on the end of the telescope. There are no chains to hold the legs together and the leg support screws don't stay up properly. With how it was packaged it was a miracle it came to me all in one piece.( It technically comes in two pieces). Soo.. yeah. I wouldn't order this one again.
