I purchased this to protect large Nellie Stevens holly trees that had just been planted. The deer approached it, but did not like the netting. Kept them on for 2 months. The netting is lightweight and did not hurt the plants. I will use it on other plants to protect from deer as needed.

These plant nets work great and are easy to use. One caution, buy a size larger.

When sprays won't work because of windy rainy conditions or too many stubborn deer these shrub covers do the job. If your shrubs are somewhat irregularly shaped it might be necessary to tie down a few places so the wind doesn't catch and lift up the shrub cover. We have lots of native shrubs but of course the deer prefer the softer foliage of landscape plants. Every now and then a less cautious deer will stick its head under the cover and lift it up. This is another reason to secure the cover as tightly as possible. And the nice thing is that the cover can be adjusted as needed to accommodate a growing shrub or small service-berry tree. So yes, I do like this product since it reduces the need to spray.

Beware: small creatures are apparently able to get through the spaces between the strings in this cover. I had draped it over and around my strawberry plants to protect the berries from the hungry chipmunks, and this morning I came out to find a chipmunk, dead, strangled with the strings of the net knotted around its throat. It had somehow gotten through and then got tangled when it tried to get out again. I feel horrible about it and thought I would at least write a review to alert people to this danger. The netting is good quality and would work well on a small-sized bush, but beware of the danger and use it with care. I wish this warning had been included with the product itself. The spaces seemed so small that I couldn't imagine a chipmunk could somehow get through them (or possibly it somehow squeezed itself underneath the edge). Hopefully recognizing this danger can at least save some other innocent little creatures somewhere!! :-(

Not the easiest to setup, but have not had any deer eating my rose bushes. And they love my rose bushes. Have tried numerous other solutions, this one appears to work. Have only used for a week or so. As a result, cannot really rate durability. In process of adding long wooden stacks to support net and keep the net off the branches and flowers.
