This can-opener really is beautifully smooth to use, & leaves no sharp shards. It even assists in removing the opened lid at the end of the process. Pleasantly reliable, made to last and my arthritic hands are very grateful for this product.

After purchasing several high dollar can openers for them to just fail in a short time period. This one is of a better quality and operates with less effort then most. The handle is comfortable to hold. The unit never seemed to have a issue with cutting the can.

Ik had al een "veiligheids blikopener" en wilde geen andere meer. Maar na verloop van tijd wordt de werking toch minder goed en is vervanging de enige optie. De mogelijkheid om het geopende blik weer af te sluiten met het verwijderde deksel is 1 van de voordelen van dit type blikopener. Het andere is dat er geen scherpe randen meer zijn bij een geopend blik. Dus zelfs kleine kinderen kun je nu rustig een blik laten openen, zonder bang te zijn dat ze zichzelf verwonden. Ik snap eerlijk gezegd niet waarom je nog een "conventionele" blikopener zou kopen.

This takes a lot of getting used to. Multiple tries to get the thing to grip right. It’s not as easy to turn all my regular style opener. Im keeping it but its going to be for that rare time when i want to reuse the lid

Like the other half of the reviews say this doesn’t work. I actually got metal shavings In my finger from this “safe” can opener. And yes I know how to use them but this one has issues.

Once I found this, I never went back to the traditional can opener. Super easy to use, no cutting edge after, super easy to clean.

I expected great things from this well-built unit. I admire novel solutions to problems of inconsistency which, I think, led to my disappointment here. This does not work dependably. When it does work, angels sing loud chords. But when it does not, gray clouds settle.Later I noted that Bridget Lancaster & Co. on the cooking show did not find this to be a game changer.Cans vary, so too might your mileage.
