At first, we experienced the same issue as other reviews...holes in the guard rail didn't line up with the bed. Then we realized the photo in the instructions displayed the front bottom piece raised up. The instructions don't state it, but you need to raise this piece to the second level, and THEN the guard rail holes do line up. It looks very nice, but rated lower due to poor instructions

We tried to transition our son to a toddler bed without this, and he fell out of bed and got a bloody nose. We had to no choice but to order this one if we wanted it to match his crib. None of the holes lined up at all. I ignored the other reviews that warned against this, but it absolutely happened to us. For such a cheap piece of material priced so high, the holes should at least line up. We'll have to drill holes to get it to work which is super annoying.

One of the holes placement was off by about half an inch. We drilled a new hole to make it work. We had the same issue with the crib and they had to send us new parts
