Needed a long spout to clear the edge of our tub. This just barely does it, but that was good enough. It shuts off completely when you pull up on the diverter. As others noted, it blows out the screen in the spout on first use, but I don't know why you would want a screen there anyway--its a bath tub after all and a little crap from the pipes doesn't matter. Been using it for ~ 3 months and don't anticipate any problems with it.

It's not the most attractive tub spout, but if you need one that extends further out over the side of the tub it's perfect. The water that drips from it seems to be whatever is left in after use, whether pulled up for shower or used as tub faucet. If you pull the diverter up a few times after use and let the water drain out each time, it won't drip after that.Update: I will say the wire mesh screen has fallen out and the diverter knob has fallen off several times in the past year. I've been able to put both back in place, but I wonder if there will come a time when one or both won't go back in/on.If you need a longer than usual spout like I did, there just aren't that many choices. Hopefully, this one will last a few more years.

The inside O ring mount is up at the front of the diverter, you need at least 5” of pipe sticking out to make the seal, it should have been listed in the description.. Waste of money.

I bought this first for the fact that delta is a well known and trusted brand. Boy was I wrong. The first one I bought leaked at the Allen wrench location. Chalking it up to a possible manufacturing defect, I returned it and bought the same one again. Now the diverter is not diverting and I get 50% water in the shower head and 50% in the bath faucet. Delta, you should be doing better! Sigh....off to find another diverter...moen here I come.

I am glad Amazon had this item because it is very hard to find a longer tub spout in the stores let alone if you need a spout in polished brass. I previously purchased a Moen spout which turned out to be too short for our tub. The Moen was made better in terms of its interior parts. The Delta's interior mechanisms looks a slightly cheaper. But, it fits our tub which has a 3.5" copper stub out (1/2 inch copper pipe). The spout secures with a set screw after you slide it onto the copper stub out. I did lubricate the copper pipe with plumber's grease before slipping on the spout. The new spout has cured the problem of water dripping from the back of spout (around where the wall meets the spout) when either the tube or shower was running. Apparently when you have that sort of drip, the O rings inside the the spout have deteriorated, and it is time for a new part. Diverter valve works well too. Overall a good buy!

Fits my over-sized tub perfectly! Great finish! It works a lot better than I thought it would based upon the method of attachment. This is the first time I have used this style of faucet with a tub valve. I must say, it was the easiest install ever.

This is a very nice, heavy duty product. It installs effortlessly if you have a straight copper pipe to slide it over. Just slide it on, tighten the set screw and caulk (silicone) around where it meets the wall. Looks and works great!

If it were possible to give this product a minus star it would deserve it. All our bathroom fixtures are from Delta so I felt compelled to replace the original installation with an identical Delta replacement spout. The second one kept leaking badly with water spraying against the wall. After a couple of years I noticed that the plate underneath the nozzle was corroding. Purchased a third one from Amazon, installed it with great difficulty, turned the water on, pulled up the diverter and all the pieces inside the nozzle fell into the tub. No more Delta for me!

Our shower over tub is actually over a Jacuzzi tub so we needed a longer than normal spout to get the water into the tub. We had been using a normal size with an extension on it which was less than attractive, but it worked. Our choices were limited because our bathroom fixtures are all brass. This spout is long enough to work on its own and looks good. However, we use the shower much more often than the tub. On the old spout we could keep the lever in the up position that made the shower work. This one automatically drops back down when the water is turned off. That may not be a problem in most cases but our "doorway" to the tub/shower is fairly distant from the spout. That means one has to step into the shower with the water running into the tub, pull up the lever and prepare to be blasted from the shower by the cold water in the pipe. Not pleasant. My husband created a "fix" so that the lever would always be up, but that means there is always some water leaking out of the spout instead of going through the shower. To use the tub, more force than normal will be needed to push the lever back down. Not perfect, but it works.
