This thumb grip does help. The Nikon Z fc is an awkward camera. Ergonomically. It's not easy to reach and operate the dials. Especially, since they are locked (accept the exposure dial). I need to learn to customize it clearly.Even with the small rig grip and this thumb grip, it's not the most comfortable. Given that the sub command wheel is located where it is, it makes it hard to make this thumb grip any other way. I am not unhappy but could be happier. It's a slow (I'm a beginner) two handed camera that I bought to learn photography and once I accepted that, then I can see the thumb grip helps me to grip the camera while I learn. So it does offer some stability. The camera is just not easy to hold and operate but I am feeling a bit more confident I am not going to drop it with this thumb grip and small rig grip.
