This is a very fine tool! I have collected knives for a long time and this one hands down has become my favorite edc! Top tier materials, the slim profile makes it virtually unnoticeable in the pocket! I do believe that the Demko Shark lock is even stronger than the triad lock, I can’t speak on the cold steel atlas because I don’t own one, with that being said the Shark Lock when open is as strong as a fixed blade no blade play whatsoever! This knife without a doubt is the sharpest knife from the factory I have ever purchased! I highly recommend this fine tool!

I had recently purchased a Demko Shark Cub Aluminum with a 20cv blade and liked it so much I looked for it's slightly bigger brother this model the 20.5 in s35vn blade steel and it was on sale for 160 so I purchased it. It is just slightly longer in blade length and overall length, but this 20.5 has a much thicker blade stock making it a much heavier duty user knife. This ones fidget factory is more fun as the Shark Locks Fin to disengage is wider so the spring tension feels less than the Cub. The only thing I don't care for is the pocket clip which is definitely not a deep carry clip, but, that is easily and cheap to change out with an after market one which I have. I like Demko and Miguron blade profiles as they both implement more robust tips than other manufacturers, great for piercing without worrying about bending or breaking it. Action is snappy and clicky using the thumb studs, opening hole or Shark lock itself, very addicting. These are very simple but very robust locks and are easy to service using a T (torx) 10 pivot and T6 for the 3 body set screws. If you like knives, do yourself a favor and include a Demko knife to your EDC rotation. The factory edge came razor sharp with a slicey edge geometry. I prefer this peel ply DigiCam G10 with mild texture which is grippy but not so gripping to shred one's pocket. It comes in at just over 3.5 ounces and quite thin (.36"), very easy to carry.

Ok, if you get it for under $160 it is still an ok purchase. Anything over $160 I feel I am overpaying, it is made in Taiwan it has a nice finish and I do like the locking mechanism, it has a s35vn blade steel an entry level premium steel. The action needs to be broken in but does not take long if you open and close it through out the day it has that fidget factor. It has an open pilar construction with steel liners. It is a sturdy knife, really good edc size. The ergos are good you get a good purchase on the handle. It came perfectly sharp out of the box. It is a good design, Demko designed great knives with Cold steel in the past. This one feels more upscale than many offerings from cold steel at present time.

Came wicked sharp! Love the shark lock, but takes a little getting used to,but as soon as you figure it out it's a fidget magnet.Hint lift up a tiny bit while pulling back perfect function every time. G10 nice and grippy, and the s35vn great heat treat for a long lasting durable edge. One of my favorite daily carries now.

Like almost everything except the price. Great edc and fidget. S35vn holds its edge well.

If you need a big strong knife. This is a great choice. Very sharp from the box. You can literally cut a tree with this knife. Comfortable for big hands. Little heavy. The lock mechanism is difficult to release. But overall great knife made in US

This Shark Lock is the most uncomfortable and awkward knife locks I've ever used. The flipper tab is so sharp that after one day of use it created a bloody spot on my index finger. And if you think it's like a regular flipper knife, you will be disappointed. I'm amazed at the amount of positive reviews without mentioning this fact. The spring bar makes it impossible to let go of the flipper until the knife is either totally open or closed. It also feels cheaply made. It rattles and the G10 scales just don't feel like G10. And then there is the price. Totally overpriced for what you get. You are buying the Demko name, not a great knife.
